Disobedients' movement's partecipation to Humanity Day

Sherwood Comunicazione | 04.09.2002 13:15

To the global civilian society

To the mass-media

On September the 15th the immigrant brothers and sisters of Treviso that in these days have fought to defend human rights from the systematic aggression of the racists that have the power in that city and in our country, have proposed a great mobilization day.

September the 15th is also the day when the racist Bossi and his people will descend from Rome in order to occupy the city of Venice, to make propaganda of racist laws, and to defend the work of mafioso Berlusconi's government, which they support.

The movement of disobedients from every corner of Italy will get on march in order to get to Treviso and build together with all immigrant brothers and sisters and the civilian society, a collective action of affirmation of the right to resistence and the conquest of freedom. In the world, we all have the right to resist to injustices, to oppression, to the tragic logic of war. We have this right because we do not obey to the laws of the market nor to the laws of the power, but to the laws of humanity. The racial law called Bossi-Fini, which will be executive from September the 9th, is a law against humanity, a law of exclusion and exploitation of the weakest. For this reason we resist and disobey, organizing networks of protection of sans papiers, and attacking detention centres for immigrants. The fact that male and female workers, whole families, are without a house afters years of work, is an acceptable shame. This happens to italians and immigrants, with no distinction. But there are places, like Treviso, ruled by an arrogant and stupid man, where this discrimination is systematic and organized. This is why we resist and disobey and open the houses which are kept empty, letting humanity in. On September the 15th us disobedients will celebrate the day "of resistence and of freedom". Thousands of brothers and sisters will come to stipulate between them and with many other people an agreement for humanity: we will not accept injustices anymore, just like our immigrant brothers and sisters in Treviso and everywhere did not accept them. We will not let the racist and mafiosi rulers keep humanity in hostage. The pact between us and with others is the run towards another possible world, a world which contains many worlds.

We speak to the civilian society and to all democratic citizens with much respect:
we ask you to build with us this great march;

we ask you to organize and support resistence and disobedience;

we ask you to contribute to the liberation of humanity;

freedom, democracy, justice. These are words which you too, civilian society and democratics, always put in our thoughts. This is why we, rebels in this time of the Empire and of war, allow ourselves to submit to you what we have asked about this to our brothers and sisters rebels in Chiapas:

What is Freedom?

They have answered: "Freedom is not doing whatever you want, it is being able to choose a road you want to find what you are looking for. Which will not lead you to betray yourself, your brothers, the others.".

What is Democracy?

They have answered: "Democracy is the agreement of thoughts. It is not that everybody think in the same way; but that all thoughts seek a common agreement, which is good for the majority without disregarding the minority. That the word of the power obey to this, to a mirror which reflects the walkers and the way and which shall be the motivation for our own thoughts, according to both ourselves and the others.".

What is Justice?

They have answered: "Justice is not to punish, it is to give to everyone what they deserve, and everyone deserve what the mirror gives them back, which is what they give to it. Who gave death, misery, arrogance, exploitation, will receive much pain and sadness for their future. Who gave respect, life, fight, who was a brother, deserve an eternal illumination on their face, on their heart and on their way.".

We will conquer another possible world. We will resist and disobey to the arrogance of the racist Lega and of the corrupted power. We will live with joy a day of rebellion and freedom.

September the 15th everybody on march towards Treviso
