Russia is a far bigger terrorist than the group that hijacked the theatre and took 500 hostages. For over three and a half years since the start of the second war in Chechnya between Chechen seperatists and Russia, Russian troops have been conducting a brutal reign of terror against the Chechen people!

Villages have regularly been surrounded by tanks and during the search for guerrillas civilians have had their homes looted. Troops also demand money from civilians to avoid being tortured or raped. Suspected guerrillas are rounded up and taken away to be tortured to death or sent to vast filteration camps where they are starved beaten and held to horrific conditions for weeks before being released, most who are released alive are disabled for life and left terribly mentaly and phyically scared. There have also been massive numbers of rapes of detained civilians as well.

The terror has been on both sides with Chechen speparatist guerrillas torturing and murdering suspected Russian collaborators amongst the civilian population and Chechen guerrillas also torturing to death captured Russian troops.

Russia's reign of terror though seems to be what is fueling the conflict with Russian troops babarity equal to the war crimes which were commited in Bosnia ten years ago and in Kosovo in 1999.

Sorry Harlequin I disagree here! If the Russians are terrorists lets see here for instance, the apartment bombings in Moscow,the hijacking of a plane from Turkey to Saudi Arabia and the innocent people held hostage in the theatre. The Chechens are terrorists(exclude the ones in Chechnya against the terrorists okay?!) period! They are nothing but savages who also have proven links with Al Queda which is still being backed by the USA.
