Dear Sir/Madam,

I strongly suspect that the mysterious disappearance of the two CDs referred to below (sent to the London address of Amnesty International UK in Rosebery Avenue) involves criminal activity of the kind associated with State corruption. Consequently, I would be very grateful to you if you would have the matter investigated please.

The electronic content of the two CDs sent to Amnesty International was identical, and one was marked "Backup copy".

Later today I intend to send you a copy of the missing CD through the Royal Mail "Special Delivery" service. Allowing for the way things went all wrong regarding the copies I sent to Amnesty International (on October 14th 2002), it is my intention to insure the small packet I plan to send to you later today for "consequential loss" of £10,000.

As you will be able to see for yourself, the CD (named "Oct 14 2002") I plan to send to you later today also contains irrefutable evidence (as far as I am concerned) that the European Parliament/Union is, in addition to the Republic of Ireland, also heavily involved in State corruption. Though my "political/legal" type difficulties have been related as they developed to the European Parliament/Union in detail over a lengthy period (by means of "Petition 809/2001" - which is a European Parliament reference number), they have stood by (in spectator mode) and done absolutely NOTHING that I know of to try and stop the ongoing abuse I am being subjected to. Apparently, and in sharp contrast to what they say, it appears that in certain types of very ordinary, everyday circumstances connected with such things as local heritage and local environment protection, the EU has no regard whatsoever for the legal rights of individual European Union citizens such as myself.

Please note also that the Citizens Advice Bureau in Winchester advised me several days ago that (as things stand) it would be a relatively simple matter for the authorities in the Republic of Ireland to have me extradited from the UK: now that a warrant for my arrest has been issued in the Republic of Ireland. In connection with any such request which the UK police might receive for my extradition, I would ask you to please take full account (during your considerations) of all material on the "Oct 14 2002" CD which relates to State corruption.

Although it is of relatively small importance to me just now, I feel I should point out that the Post Office have informed me that they can only pay me compensation for the missing small packet sent to Amnesty International if I have proof that they were responsible for the loss. In due course, when your investigations into the matter are complete, I hope you will be able to let me have a clear written statement regarding this point.

I intend to include a printed (and signed) copy of this e-mail to you later today together with the CD ROM referred to above named "Oct 14 2002". It would be very much appreciated if you could send a written acknowledgement of receipt to the address provided below as soon as possible after you have received it please.

Sincerely,

Mr William Finnerty.

Subject: Missing CD ROMs Date: Fri, 25 Oct 2002 15:20:45 +0000

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for your e-mail dated October 24 2002.

Please note that there is a MAJOR error in the final paragraph of your e-mail to me of October 24 2002 connected with the date "19 October 2002". I sent the small packet with the two CDs to you on October 14 2002, and the Post Office have confirmed that it was satisfactorily delivered to your Rosebery Avenue (London) address on October 15th 2002. I did NOT send any letter to Amnesty International on October 19 2002.

During the two days immediately before October 14 2002 I discussed my "political/legal" difficulties at length with a friend who is a lawyer (and a judge) working in mainland Europe. Allowing for the fact that my case relates directly to human rights (and in particular to my personal legal rights as an individual), this person's view was that I very badly needed the kind of legal advice (and action) that is "independent of any government" (as your literature puts it); and, that the best organisation to approach for such help was Amnesty International.

After receiving your e-mail of October 24 2002 informing me that Amnesty International is unable to help in my kind of situation - contrary to what many seem to be believe (including at least one judge) - I then decided to start seeking help in a much more general way by publishing the information now at the two Indymedia www page addresses provided immediately beneath this paragraph. As I trust you will understand, the big difficulty for me now (and the main driving force behind the Indymedia attempt at finding help) is that I simply do not know where to look for the kind of legal advice that is "independent of any government": at a time when I feel almost completely worn out after four years of searching in vain for such advice - in the Republic of Ireland, in the European Parliament/Union, and now (during recent weeks) in the United Kingdom. Among other things, I am also very concerned about the amount of money I have spent to date on these matters.

I note that in her e-mail to me dated October 22 2002 Mrs Meadows (CAB Winchester) has offered to provide you with more information about my case. Please be aware that both the Winchester CAB office, and the CAB Head Office in London (just a few minutes walk from your Rosebery Avenue address), now have copies of the CD which you say did not arrive, but which the Post Office claim was delivered satisfactorily to you on October 15 2002. Please also be aware that the CAB have my full permission to copy (or pass on) the information I have given them to anybody they wish.

Sincerely,

Mr. William Finnerty.
