Yeesh. Look; if you're determined to see a conspiracy or a hidden cabal controlling events, then it's perfectly possible to cherry-pick enough historical evidence in order to "prove" that conspiracy. That doesn't make it true.

But doesn't it make for so much more of a secure and explicable world? Global capitalism, exploitation, war and poverty is so much more rationalisable if you can put it all down to "the zionists", "the masons", or whatever group is conspiracy wacko flavour of the month. Meanwhile, whilst people charge at enemies that don't exist, the historical, social, political and economic processes that actually underlie exploitation, continue unchecked. Which further feeds conspiracy fantasies, natch.
