They haven't been all that bad -- they've run stories from both sides of the fence. Certainly more so than the crap I read in America's mainstream press.
Read Robert Fisk over at the Independent? He's been doing a heck of a lot of truth telling on the ramp-up to war.

Call me a cynical old bat, but isn't this just choreographed propaganda to soften us for an invasion that become almost inevitable after the Republicans won big in the Congressional election last November?
I've suggested to the Observer's editor that he (or is it she?) check the online poll by Time Magazine in which over 80% said the USA was the greatest threat to world peace.
You too can cast your vote -
Channel 4's poll last week came to the same conclusion - over 80% said they weren't convinced.
This suggests the Observer is seriously out of touch with both it's readers and reality.
You can also cast your vote for the Observer - by not buying it. Better yet, follow the Dude's advice, and email them to say why.

They offer a "progressive" editorial line as a sop to their guilt-ridden middle-class liberal/student readership, but as soon as Blair puts on the pressure the Observers of this world obediently spout the New Labour line.
If you want a daily paper which is unequivocally AGAINST the war, New Labour, greed, exploitation and corporate fascism and unequivocally FOR the firefighters, the green movement, the organised working class and a truly democratic society, then may I suggest you try the Morning Star.
Available from some good newsagents (and some crap ones).
