WE NEED INDEPENDENT PEOPLE COUNTERS!!!!!!!!

Why has the STWC looked over this?

It is absolutely imperitive that we have concrete evidence of the numbers present.

The countryside alliance understood this and put it to great effect, so why the fuck can't the STWC?!?

MI5/6 need the public to belive that the anti-war movement is a "dwindling minority" for them to carry on with their war effeorts.

It is very easy to say that only a fraction of the people were there, COME ON PEOPLE FOR PITYS SAKE, LEARN BY YOUR MISTAKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

..They actually only had a big counter going up by what they "estimated" was there. As far as I know it wasn't actually counting people, at all, which would've required a more sophisticated sort of device, I expect. It worked as a propaganda trick, mind..

Some university research departments use software to analyse video and count/measure movement of small animals, such as ants. Maybe a couple of dv cameras up high, and some of this software would be a way to count the people at the march.
Biometrics is the name of the scientific field.

People with cameras in tall buildings

They wont let us fly over the march and they wont release their own aerial photos but they can't stop us from getting photographers on the rooftops!

Ideally we want video cameras in tall buildings surveying the crowd past the merge point of the route for the entire time. This is concrete evidence - everyone on the march will pass this point and we could even do a headcount!!!

Anyone with the equipment and access to a suitable builing?

A dv camcorder on a really tall tripod might do the trick if there isn't a building that can be used. Or one of those counterbalanced cranes for getting high shots.
