People Power to depose Blair

Davy King | 23.02.2003 19:30

A call to British People to depose Blair. Here in the UK, we can't stop Bush but we must stop Blair. If we fail to do so, war crimes will be committed in our name.

Here in the UK, we can't stop Bush but we must stop Blair. If we fail to do so, war crimes will be committed in our name.

Indy Media readers are presumably familiar with the overwhelming weight of the argument against invading Iraq. No need to reiterate it, the facts of the matter (glaringly absent from the mainstream media account) speak for themselves.

Taken it as read that we are against Bush's war/massacre, the best contribution that British readers can make is to actively & urgently campaign for the removal of our Prime Minister.

E-mail, fax, write to, attend the 'surgeries' of, your local MP. Tell them straight: you lose our votes if you support war.

Let's wrack our brains to come up with effective forms of civil disobedience, pass it on, co-ordinate this & QUICK!

People Power in the Philippines deposed 2 Presidents!

A handful of Fuel protesters in Britain forced a change in Govt. policy.

So, we CAN do it & do it we must, if not to stop the Bush junta, at least to dissociate the UK from collusion in war crimes & American Imperialism.

Repeat this mantra & meme: BLAIR MUST GO!

If People Power can work in the Philippines...

War Crimes are already being and have been (Kosovo and Serbia) committed in your name. I agree, Blair must be deposed before the escalation of the Iraqi genocide. But after that takes place, you will still need to quarantine the US forces stationed there. Further, the next logical step morally would be to place UK troops in positions to defend the Iraqi people from futher genocide at the hands of the US government. And then it would be on to Israel to deal with the genocide there. Such a vast policy shift is the morally correct tact, but are you aware of the future implications. Then again, the French and Dutch were once British enemies while Germany and Prussia were once British allies, not forgetting the topsy-turvy of US-British relations. Now maybe it's clear why the UN was formed and why it was and is important for Europe and the world to give it more strength while standing up to the first round of US bullying that started with Reagan in 1981.

STOP BLAIR, AND YOU STOP BUSH
.

Blair is Bush's only excuse of an international force. If you stop Blair, there will be NO WAR.

The UN was installed to ensure World peace, but has overseen at least a dozen CIA instigated wars globally since it's inception. It's most recent 'peacekeeping' mission in Africa guaranteed the death of a million Rwandans. The UN (World Government) is the problem, not the solution.

First step only

Getting rid of Blair would be a useful first step. But only a first step. The system can always find a replacement while it tries to make things go on as before. Remember, the Tories were willing to sacrifice Thatcher when discontent over the poll tax reached a certain level. Even if the US-British axis of evil gets the short, sharp little war it wants, Blair may have been damaged beyond repair by recent events. But in itself, toppling Blair is not enough.
