Lagan stands accused of exploiting and plundering integrated education, in order to operate an elite grammar school, catering for an exclusive clique of well heeled children of Basils high society chums, to the detriment of the education of the rest of the majority working class non grammar stream school population. An elite school within a school, whilst the majority of disadvantaged working class non grammar stream pupils at lagan, end up pushing trolleys at sainsburys, Basil's rich offspring and high society chum chidren, who already have all the social connections, and advantages in the world, are also spoon fed the very best education and end up with the very best jobs. No expense spared for Basil's clique, whilst social climbing sychopants like Helen McHugh work integrated education like an old pro, using it as a junkett, to selfishly line their own pockets, whilst embracing all manner of self glory, and arrogant self promotion.
