Good luck America!

02.03.2003 10:26

I’m a middle aged British guy and I’ve given much thought to the forthcoming war on Iraq and I am undecided about this war, but if push was to come to shove, I would be on the side of the Americans. I am certain that if I went to Iraq and spoke with the ordinary people in the street the majority of them would want the Americans and the British running their country, at least until a fitting democratic government and system was put into place. As for the American people, I have nothing but sympathy for what happened to them on the 9-11. We all know that Great Britain and the US, whilst claiming to be democratic, are in reality not as democratic as they make out, but they are a million miles ahead of Saddam Hussein’s government. Hussein is an evil tyrant who has killed thousands of his own people. In the name of democracy he needs to be removed.

GOOD LUCK AMERICA!!

Yes-- Good Luck America!

I’m a middle aged, low-ranking employee of the British security services, I’ve given much thought to the forthcoming war, and I hope that if you invade Iraq you sustain massive casualties, and that the soldiers your leaders have betrayed go home and make the politicians pay a serious price for the violence they have inflicted on the world in the name of democracy over the last 50 years. After the human tragedy created in Indochina, with agent orange causing birth defects for generations to come; the terrorists you unleashed against poor Nicaragua and Mozambique in the 1980s; the ruin you made of Panama in 1991; the devastation of the cities and infrastructure and industry of the former Yuguslavia which you are still to even begin to repair; the depleted uranium birth defects there, in Iraq after the Gulf War and now in Afghanistan. All these tragedies committed in the name of making freedom.

The poor American people, I wish you good luck in removing the Bush dictatorship, which is systematically stripping you of your civil rights. The America of John Brown, of Eugene Debs, of WEB Du Bois, of Henry Wallace, of Martin Luther King, of Noam Chomsky, must prevail. And 95% of humanity is behind it.
GOOD LUCK AMERICA!!

Jerry

Tom
You are really in huge illusion thinking that the average Iraqi person wants the British or American government to rule their country. Imperialism = slavery.

I am a middle aged Iraqi in Baghdad, and I also wish you in Britain good luck in removing the dictator Blair, who thinks he is God. May true democracy prevail.
