Corporate Watch is looking for two new recruits to help us indocrinate the unspecting public and spread malicious lies and propaganda. DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS: Saturday 15th March 2003.

Corporate Watch is looking for 2 researchers to join our collective

Corporate Watch is a small independent research group run as a workers cooperative and based in Oxford, England. We conduct research and analysis to expose the mechanisms by which corporations operate and the negative effects they have on society and the environment.

Corporate Watch is looking for 2 new people from May/June 2003:

1) News Editor:
Co-ordinate, edit, develop and market our bi-monthly newsletter, and research and edit the fortnightly news updates for our website.

2) Administrator/Researcher:
This person’s time would be split 50/50 between:
Administration: Taking responsibility for day-to-day financial administration at Corporate Watch (maintaining our accounts and payroll, paying bills etc). This work would be shared with one other person.
Research: Either continuing on one of Corporate Watch’s existing projects or developing and fund-raising for a new research project based on particular expertise and interest.

We are ideally looking for people who:
Have research and writing skills.
Have initiative and ideas for research projects.
Have experience of grassroots campaigning and taking direct action.
Are connected to activist networks in the UK and/or abroad.
Are willing to work from Oxford (We can help to find you a place).
Are willing to share general office tasks such as making lunch, answering general enquiries that come into the office, doing stalls at events and giving workshops etc.
Are willing to work co-operatively by consensus decision-making.
Are able to work for £150 a week.

Corporate Watch is run by activists for activists. If you are looking for a rung on the NGO/media career ladder then Corporate Watch is definitely not for you!

If you don’t have an example of your work, write us a short (500 words approx) piece entitled 'Are corporations the cause of the problem or part of the solution?' It doesn't have to be a work of art!
