Sabotage the War Effort
Disobedience Against War are calling for street blocking actions to bring London to a standstill if war cannot be averted.
Capitalist power resides in their control of our labour power and their control of the state; our power resides in our rejection of work and in the streets, where we live and congregate. In recent history, direct actions have focused on disrupting the motions of everyday life, in Reclaim the Streets parties, the fuel protests, anti-roads campaigns, Maydays... By confronting power in the streets, we see the vulnerability of capitalism and the potential we possess of changing our future by bringing this system of death and misery to a halt.
IN THE EVENT OF WAR, LONDON STOPS
“Ultimately it is in the streets that power must be dissolved: for the streets where daily life is endured, suffered and eroded, and where power is confronted and fought, must be turned into the domain where daily life is enjoyed, created and nourished.”

"In the streets" not enough

The manufactured products that we make and currently buy - these stem from our ways of living. No amount of direct action to throw sand in the wheels of the present system will change anything structural.
There's no alternative to building different economies and social institutions in our local neighbourhoods. Surely the only alternative to Globalisation of the economy is Localisation of the economy?
Doubtful
