F 15 POSITIVE ENERGY NOW!

Barrie V | 12.03.2003 03:48

February 15 - 2 million people in London,
millions more around the Earth...

What now?

F 15 POSITIVE ENERGY NOW!
F 15 POSITIVE ENERGY NOW!

Might it be worth thinking and considering,
now public opinion around the world is mobilised,
what can be done with this positive groundswell next?

Yes I know stuff is happening, but is there
a central point, a focus for everyone?

Not just another anti-war thing, but a Pro-Peace,
pro-positivity, pro-active, pro-Gaia focal point?

Shall we start right here, right NOW?

Call it F15 in honour of those who marched,
in the spirit of peace and positivity.

(thanks to Skip and SunshineLily for the spur)

Should all this positive energy be chanelled further?

Of course. But where and to what end?

People mustn't stop now.

We need to keep the focus of this energy
channeled in positive ways.

NOW!

Stop feeding the machine.

We must eventually ignore it anyway..

We all have a shadow in us, the negative us,
and if we bear in mind the maxim, 'as above so below',
or, 'as within so without', then we can see that to
keep feeding the negative keeps it alive, helps it grow.

An old Indian legend has it that we have
two dogs in us, fighting for control..

Which one wins? - the one you feed...

So this feeling in people, this positive energy
must be guided, chanelled, nurtured.

We have a channel here. United we stand.

Suggestions please!

I like the notion of World Citizen, it's simple.
no need for committees, legislation, endless think tanks,
'focus groups' etc. Just positive energy now!

Mother Earth has led us back to this point again,
and said;

'Do you guys want to have another go at this?',

'And get it right this time?' !

Just one more Summer of Love anybody?

(doesn't the existence of Hipforums & Hip Planet
today prove where we are? Look at the way everyone's dressing again, the music we're listening to)

People power, positive energy is rising,

Information is power - information is free..

We have all the power we need!

Positive Energy! Power to the People!

I guess we should all know by now that the whole
system, the machine, is utterly corrupt.

There seems little sense at this point in
bandying words about who did what where and to whom.

Time to move on and up! Stop feeding the beast.

Communicate with each other!

Disseminate positive energy and thought!

Mix this with a good old dollop of general
'civil disobedience', and I don't mean riots
- it's got to be non-violent, and things
WILL CHANGE.

(discuss this, find out what is being done
and join in, do likewise or collaborate -
let others know - talk to people!)

to re-iterate -

The World vs yet another Star Bangled Spanner - Vote with your feet

There is an old fashioned saying about the
power of the pound in your pocket.
People can vote with their feet.

It's simple, hit back at this last terrible
reminder (remainder?) of what is worst in
man by hitting the machine where it hurts.

In the pocket.

Something must be done, right here,
right now, by all of us.

So I would say Think about this.

Consider where you spend your money.

And who is the money behind where
you spend and place your money.

We have a voice, we do have real power.
Don't place your money in the hands of banks
or other organisations who invest unethically
or who have vested interest in activities
which harm our environment.

It is your money, you earned it, and it's your
duty to this good earth and humanity as a whole
to see that it is treated righteously.

See your money as seeds. Plant wisely.
Don't place your money in the hands of
those who perpetuate the division of humanity.
Where we are fighting each other.

United we stand, divided we fall.

Need I go on?

We do have power. Economic power.
The power of the money in your pocket.

That is the only power they have.
The power the system has over you and me.
Fight fire with fire.
Spend your money in right ways.

We are the people who make the
wheels of this 'machine turn.
If everybody withdrew their labour,
in protest at this latest corporate
what would happen to 'the machine' then?
Ever see the film 'Fight Club'?
Watch it, and think!

And you may ask about this
machine that in my opinion
enslaves us.

I am not a slave you might say.
What if I were to say to you,
this machine subjugates
and controls us all by
turning us into 'consumer units'.

Consumer units' that will buy their stuff..
and so perpetuate The Machine...
and therefore allow it to continue
the pillage of this world?

And allow it to continue to subjugate humankind?

Don't buy their stuff!
Stop buying in to the system.

Turn off the T.V.!

The media is Dead! Long live the newmedia!

Stop reading the press! We are the media!

Throw away your TV. (I did)

You have the power to stop this machine
and free yourself and humanity.

Then perhaps humankind can begin to
realise it's true potential.

Instead of being ridden by The Machine.

Throw off the yoke!

Rise up and leave your shadow behind.

Shall I start the ball rolling?

Email/write/fax the U.N. - anyone who might be
able to make a difference...

Get them to invoke Resolution 377!

Uniting for PEACE

'Friday January 31, 2003

The Guardian, U.K.

"As the security council meets to consider the interim report of the UN weapons inspectors an awful prospect is looming: one of diplomatic deadlock in the council, followed by the unilateral invasion of Iraq by Britain and the US (US: Iraq is spying on inspectors, January 30). We should prepare for this eventuality by drawing on the experience of the 1956 Suez crisis. On October 30 that year, the US tabled a resolution condemning both the Israeli invasion of Egypt and the Franco-British intervention to occupy the canal zone.
This was promptly vetoed by France and the UK. Yugoslavia, a temporary member of a council, then invoked resolution 377, which had been passed in 1950 to overcome Soviet obstructionism.

Known as the "uniting for peace" resolution, it enables the council to call an emergency meeting of the full general assembly which can then decide on UN strategy by majority vote. In 1956, this meant that Britain's and France's immoral and illegal actions were condemned by the assembly, which subsequently became the primary forum for agreeing the action to resolve the Suez crisis.

This time around we must also be ready to rouse the general assembly if an inability to agree in the council looks set to be used as a cloak for unilateral aggression. If Britain and the US decide to go it alone, other members of the council should consider reviving resolution 377 as a way of maintaining the integrity of the UN and international law. "

A New Day Dawns? post globalisation - local economies Rock!

I found something that seems a really useful idea at

 http://adbusters.org/campaigns/bnd/updates/buy_nothing_all_year.html

Quote:

Buy Nothing Day comes only once a year, but beyond the carnival antics lies a deeper threat to consumer capitalism. The sun is finally setting on the unaccountable, global bully economy, and rising on a network of local, cash-free alternatives.

There’s the growing web of Local Economic Trading Systems, for example. These “community information systems” score and track the barter of goods and services among members. It’s home-grown, informal and does an end run around the Dow Jones. See for hundreds of LETS spanning the globe.

Go here;

 http://www.lets-linkup.com

start your own localised trading and economic groups.

stuff the supermarkets - use the corner shop.

localised economies - the way forward?

Convert your diesel to run on vegetable oil.

We borrow this earth from future generations.

Our children, our future selves.

We cannot stand by and do nothing.

We cannot shirk responsibility.

We are part of this planet, this universe.

As it is part of us.

Be the change you wish to see.

Power to the people!
