The english version was hit by pro war activists. They are working on bringing it back up. You can still get www.aljazeera.net which suggests it's not being censored.

The  http://www.aljazeerah.info/ site is not set up by the satellite channel. The above link takes you to a site that links to various articles from newspapers. Still useful but not al-jazeera.

Checking to see if anyone trying to read how this war is being reported on the
other side of the world is getting the same inability to reach
english.aljazeera.net.

First when I tried, I was getting a temporary page saying the sight was hijacked
as well as a Safeway popup add. Something seemed ironic about trying to see the
aljazeera site, and being hijacked to Safeway online groceries.

Then I've also been taken to other sites, but mostly get this message:

The page cannot be displayed
The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be
experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser
settings.

The DNS hijack that took the site down a couple of days ago seems to have been
resolved- aljazeera.net resolves to an IP belonging to a French hosting company.

The site is not responding to pings. A traceroute gets responses up to a Level3
router in Paris, so access isn't getting blocked at the border.

Odds are someone is DOSing them.

Not that that's likely to keep the news out.

Have you thought of it like this...

Al-Jazeera and the arabs in general know the English 'people' to be a bunch of pigs (not just the govt!) who are not worth publishing their information to.

This is more likely as it is very clear that the British pigs are solidly behind their murdering pigs all the way in this current phase of aggression.

Another possibility might be that Keele university could be another hub of warmongering spies and state sponsored saboteurs or even a weapons of mass destruction production site. Find out what they do in the computer science or biotechnology departments.

I can get the Arabic version of the site (www.aljazeera.net), but not the English one. Reagarding Keele blocking the site, yet it is true that we have links with a very dodgy company called Cobra Theraputics, which have a building of their own in the on-campus science park. I believe that they are involved in biotechnology, and they are very secretive, a friend of mine went there to ask queststions at the door as was turned away, and got back to his room to find two security men there!!! This website for this company is  http://www.cobrabiomanufacturing.com/, and it is worth searching on Google for them too.

What do you guys think of this?

A for Keele Uni. blocking your browsing I do not think so.
Becasue I get the same error from a different location within the UK.

All I am suggesting is the other way around.
Al-Jazeera administrators could be blocking our access to them (inferred from the error message posted originally) to save valuable resources (instead of falling on deaf PIG ears).

Yes someone censoring it in the middle is also possible I guess. But highly unlikely . It is done indirectly through the wrong choice of technology in AlJazeera's part whereby they ended up with an easily crashed/hijacked system.

It was certainly not intended for that purpose insted to describe white supremacy. For your information it is the globally widely used word for white supremacy.

As you make fuss about the word I will certainly make an attempt at curtailing the use of the word PIG.
