BNP results

antifash | 04.05.2003 13:23

Counting is over, time for reflection...

Counting is over, celebration and quiet reflection

If you have been listening to the mainstream media today you can possibly be forgiven for not being aware of a tremendous breakthrough for the ordinary people of Britain. The likes of the BBC and the tightly controlled national press have made much of a story about the, not unexpected, discontent within the Conservative Party. Apparently some "lushed up" dissident Tory MP decided late last night, to make his feelings known about his party leader before the May 1st election count. Doubtless bouyed up by a few "G & Ts" beforehand at the bar, Tory MP, Blunt said in a public announcement, that Tory Leader Ian Duncan Smith is a "waste of space" or words to that effect. This was, according to the BBC, a great piece of news that deserved widespread coverage. In its traditional manner in dealing with any opposition to demi-god Blair with utter contempt, the BBC has failed to communicate that the election results have seen the New Labour regime utterly humilated across the country.

Fact 1: The BNP has in May 2003, contested the largest number of candidates in municipal elections in the party's history.

Fact 2: The BNP in Wales and Scotland have contested for the first time ever the devolved Assembly/Parliament elections.

Fact 3: Shock! Horror! "BBC mentions BNP on its election website"! But wait.....BBC reports "BNP's Sunderland bid falls flat"....

Fact 4: The Beeb publishes a perfect example of the illegal activities the opposition used against the Sunderland electorate.

Those election headlines in summary.

BNP wins in :

Burnley - 7 new councillors elected
Halifax (Calderdale Council) - 1 new councillor elected
Broxbourne (Herts) - 1 new councillor elected
Wigan - 1 new councillor elected
Stoke- 1 new councillor elected
Dudley- 1 new councillor elected
Sandwell - 2 councillors elected

Together with our three councillors in Calderdale, Burnley and Blackburn this brings us to having a total of 17 elected councillors.

In addition to the excellent wins, we can be upbeat about the very good gains achieved elsewhere

Glasgow (Holyrood Parliament) - vote quadrupled since 1999 when EU elections held.
Oldham - vote increased from 2002, as absolute and share of votes. Good 2nd positions in Chadderton North, Chadderton South, Failsworth West, Royton North, St. James.
Good 2nd results from Bradford; Bolton ward, Idle ward, Queensbury ward (145 votes short of a win!),Shipley East ward,
Good 2nd results from elsewhere in Calderdale- 113 votes short of a win in Northrowram ward, 2nd place in Mixenden.
Good 2nd results from Kirklees, Nick Cass coming 2nd with 27.8% in Thornhill and Karl Hanson with 30.1 in Mirfield.

All these areas will see wins for the party in due course.

NF's failure to perform

The disastrous results for the NF show that their style of confrontational politics doesn't win any public support. In the three wards which the NF and BNP both contested, the voters chose the community-orientated style of politics of the BNP every time. In Oldham Lees, where BNP candidate Craig Lawton won 746 votes the NF candidate scored a poor 62, less than 10% of the BNP's vote. In Oldham Royton North, BNP candidate Norman Corbett achieved an impressive 1102 votes, whereas the NF limped along with 74 votes, that's less than 7% of the BNP's vote. The story from Sunderland was the same, in Washington East where the NF also stood, again they won less than 100 votes. Their 74 votes falls well behind our David Richardson's 371 votes.

The message is clear, the NF are going nowhere electorally and any genuine patriot should join with and support the winning team!

The things "they" say..

Some amusing (if it wasn't so serious!) comments.

BNP announces "Top Democrat in Oldham" award to.....

Oldham's Conservative Council Leader, John Curran who said of Nick Griffin “We believe people are entitled to stand but there are certain types of politicians who should not have a presence here."

BNP announces "Ministry of Truth in Oldham" award to.....

Michael Meacher who says that "This is a comprehensive rejection. The BNP has been humiliated and I am very glad. Griffin ought to hang his head in shame. People do not want him." If you want to see the impressive gains for the BNP in Oldham:  http://www.bnp.org.uk/elections/elections2003/start.htm .

Michael Meacher, the Labour MP who doesn't have a grasp of the English language. Oldham BNP have sent a pocket English dictionary to his address.

Meacher has meanwhile rejected claims by his well-meaning supporters that the big red and white object, about 12 ft high, 6ft wide and carrying 26 people moving towards him at 25mph was a "bus".......ouchhhh!

BNP announces "Broadcasting Bigot" award to.....

Mr. Greg Dyke, "top dog" as Director-General of the BBC.

Mr. Dyke earns over £450,000 pa to oversee the biggest broadcasting operation in the UK. His prior donations to the Labour Party were of course not a factor in his appointment to top position at the Beeb, after all if the BBC says corruption doesn't exist within the BBC, then "ahem", it must be true! Licence payers wishing to take issue with this are directed to the valiant patriots and genuine democrats at the following website:www.tvlicensing.biz

Underestimate of the seismic fallout in the West Midlands goes to "The Guradian" (!) Esther Addley says...

It is hardly likely that the far right (sic) will deliver anything like an electoral earthquake in British political culture.

Better late than never- Tories exploit Britons' fear and concern in West Midlands:

7 Asylum Seekers will arrive in Labour Britain during the time it takes you to walk to the polling station and cast your vote in the election.
No surprise that the Tories who stated the obvious were hauled over "the coals" by Tory top dogs and told never to use "racist" propaganda ever again!
