Organised by the Stop All Imperialist Wars Against Africans Campaign.
African Liberation Day emerged out of the freedom struggles of African people throughout the world in the 1950s and 60s. All around the world, African people are still struggling against colonial domination at the hands of the imperialist countries - both on the continent of Africa and in these imperial centres like the UK and the US. African Liberation Day was first initiated by Kwame Nkrumah, the first president of independent Ghana, who understood that the future of African people throughout the world was in our unification!

I'd rather hear what Africans have to say about the future of their continent than some racist westerner who in time-honoured tradition thinks whites know what are best for Africans
