You can't hold an inquiry AFTER a war, to determine if it was justified - an illegal war which the electorate oppossed.

How can you inquire AFTER an event which cost several thousand lives, maimings and the destruction of a country?

This was not a friggin' train crash....requiring a public inquiry! It was a preplanned incursion and occupation of a sovereign nation under false pretences.

What can the government say? Woops....sorry! And the Tories were baying for this war to "disarm Iraq" louder than Blair.

It's time to take back the House of Commons, for the people, by the people, before they kill anymore innocent people.

I'm afraid you are right Captain, the only conclusion inquiries ever reach is that old mantra - "mistakes have been made, lessons have been learned" - supposing the power-crazy-maniac Rumsfeld with his finger on nuclear buttons, mistakenly destroys the planet? We can't let them continue this "learning" process, if our lives are at stake.

I hate the way they're all going 'Did Blair mislead the country? Did he exagerate the threat?' (unwittingly of course) because we KNOW he did. What happened to the claim he would have a nuke in 6 month??? The FAKED documents! The student dossier!!!
