update on the refugee camps in no man's land between iraq and jordan

There is a situation that needs to be denouced, for it has not been covered by the mainstream media in any appropriate manner. It concerns the destiny of thousands of people living in deplorable conditions in refugee camps in the arid and deserted no man's land somewhere between Iraq and Jordan.
The delegation has tried to access various channels in order to be able to get into contact with these camps. The UNHCR (United Nations High Commission for Refugees)is present in these camps though it is not managing them officially,for they are under the authority of the Jordanian government. However it is the Red Cross and the UNHCR which are providing the refugees with food supplies and basic medical assistance. These organisations are very anxious that this situation does not get institutionalized. The delegation tried to get in touch with the Jordanian Ministry of Interior to be able to see the camps, but it has proven very difficult.
Who are these refugees? There are three main camps:
In Camp A: 960 Palestinians are now living there having lost their homes in Iraq in various contexts during the war, for example some were considered to have been favoured by Hussein's regime. These people are not allowed into Jordan, though many of them are married to Jordanian women. Yet immigration laws Jordan do not allow for family reunification. In fact there is a proposal during the current electoral campaign to allow women to apply for family reunification.
In Camp b: 340 students from Somalia are now living there> They were following university degrees in Iraq but had to flee because of the war. They do not want to go back to Somalia that would mean that their years of study in Iraq were wasted, as they would go back with no qualifications.
In the third camp: about 1200 people of various origins are living there, mainly Irani Kurds and Palestinians, who are just simpy trapped in this no man's land.
The delegation demands that something be done urgently for these people, by the Jordanian government,the United Nations and the European Parliament.

I have watched your programme about the stolen and burnt heritage of Iraq(8/6/03). The programme contains several factual errors stated below;
1- Nobody has given you the presenter and his team permission to visit
Iraq. Like the criminals your politicians and your army and your officials
and your spies and your Jews have no right to dirty Iraq. Yet alone
“investigating” what has happened there. Why he has not mentioned that the
museum and others has been bombed last time too.
2- Since he was there, I wonder why they did not go to the burnt libraries;
the Qura’anic library and the historic library documenting the history of
Iraq. I wonder why he did not talk to ordinary Iraqis in these places and
in AlA’athamia where the americans has shot dead two Sudanese guards and
asked the Iraqi looters to start the looting with their protection as
reported in a Danish Magazine then. Iraqis has reported the funny accent of
the looters and suggesting that they are jews. The torture and
investigation of the brother and his son of Mr. Aldoure was conducted by
jews so is the manning of the Iraqi Jordanian and on the Jordanian side
with your dogs the Jordanians.
3- The programme has reported from an americn soldier that they have
cleared the museum area from the Iraqi special republican guards by one
shot, although the above gate of the museum has a big hole in it. Despite
that there was no comments from your presenter at this ludicrous claim.
4- The Iraqi heritage first and before most is an Iraqi heritage. None of
it belongs to the jungle goers. Indeed it has been developed when you were
roaming the jungles of Europe. Check with your “museum”.
5- The Ba’athist and the “Ba’athists” are the officials who kept and
organised the Museum before and forever after you departure from my
country. While may be more organisation is needed but certainly not from
you or your presenter Curuicksnak.
6- The programme as usual from the BBC have not reported the fact that the
Iraqi Museum officials have sworn by the name of Allah that they will not
reveal where the treasures are only after the departure of the invaders.
But it seems they have been forced to reveal where were they hidden them.
This explains the refusal of the female official and others to answer his
questions. Who is your presenter anyway to expect to be respected and his
questions to be answered?
7- Can not he and you see that you have no history and consequently what
you are doing to the World? Can not he and you see that apart from the
looted treasures of the World and the walls and the hot air you have
nothing yours in your Museum. Professional looters how did you get what is
not yours there? If one or two Iraqi officials are bad all of you not just
your politicians and your officials in your “museum” are bloodsuckers.
Since only few of you can see that the purpose of the programme is a
useless one, it is already ingrained in your brains that your are not
responsible for your diseases. Mr snake, these your people. .
8- Otherwise why do not he and the BBC go and investigate the existence of
the something called the British Museum? Why do not he ask the official
keepers of the looted treasures of the World why do not we return these
treasures to where it belongs? He should use the arguments; clearly we are
savages, what are these signs of the not mechanical and civilised world are
doing here? What we were doing when the World was doing this and that? Our
museum must be filled with the signs of our diseased country. For example
for each country you have destroyed, you must mention the number of the
people who you killed and maimed and the level of destruction to the
aspects of life there and its on going effects. Then you progress in the
museum to the destroyed contents of the world and you move in history to
the present devastating effects on not just the living but on the
environment. The final section should be the attempts to cover up for this
destruction from your own detached from reality people.
9- If the effects of your invasion are exaggerated well thank God for that.
But the 4000 items has been looted because of and mostly by your troops.
