Residents in Newham warned about planned riot!

Here is the text of a leaflet that has been distributed to homes and businesses in Newham near to the planned anarchist demo against the arms fair at the Excel Centre.

"On the 6th to the 12th of June thousands of anarchists plan a demo against an arms fair taking place at the Excel Exhibition centre. These are the same people who caused a riot in the City of London in June 1999 and who traveled to Seatle, Gothenburg, and Prague in recent years to cause violence and destruction to property! They are not legitimate protesters and only use the pretext of protest to cause mayhem and violence!

The Excel centre will be stepping up security during the week of September 6th to 12th but major disorder is expected. Contact your local police station for details of what to do and what to expect on the day."

I am distributing that information to thousands of homes in the docklands area of Newham! The public don't agree with you! You violent anarchist scum are not wanted in Newham or anywhere else. Why don't you grow up and stop acting like stupid overgrown school kids! You are worse than football hooligans! You want to destroy capitalism but its us capitalists who pay the taxes that go to pay your girochecks you filthy unwashed lazy parasites! You are criminals and villians you all belong in jail!

Too many people are using dishonest pseudonyms. We have a liar saying that demonstrators are all parasites on Capitalism. Most of the demonstrators known to me are in regular work -are being parasited by Capitalism. Some of the people I know should be housed in the secure institutions that Thatcher threw them out of. They are not protestors. Some are even reduced to beggary because they just are not up to claiming the benefits they are entitled to sponge from the tax thieving state.

Can we have some contributions from a real Realist please.

But in the meantime, can I just thank Realist for this valuabble information - it will be duely posted in all anti-DSEi websites.

Can I ask all those who support indymedia uk with their comments, not to comment on Realist's postigs as it will be easier for us the admin collective to hide their postings. (we tend to leave postings with comments).

Whos leaflet about protest against Arms Fair

We had a meeting of East London Against the Arms Fair last night 12th June with people from various groups in Newham. Nobody mentioned such a leaflet or any repurcussions. Local community worker Ray Collier, not able to be at the meeting, who I spoke to this morning, knew nothing about it. It is internally inconsistent in that it refers to 6th 12th June, now passed and later to 6th to 12th September.

Who produced it? How far has it been distributed? Such prejudices and fears are to be found in Newham Docklands but I do not think this leaflet, if it exists, need be taken seriously. I suggest the best thing to do is ignore it.
