Debates as to which 'race' is semetic or not are fairly irrelevant in my opinion. In its modern context the word anti-semitism refers to actions and structures motivated by hatred of the Jewish people. It has existed for many hundreds of reasons and lead to the single most horrific, systematic and large scale attempt to illimiminate an entire race. Anti-semitism did not end with the Third Reich, its roots are far to deep for that.

Anti-semitism DOES NOT exist as a response to the blatant excesses of the Israeli Defence Force, or the conservative politics of Sharon and his government.

I think we crossed some invisible magic line about a month ago.
At least in the UK media, we began to see little leaks in the iron grip of the Israelis on the media. Bit by bit more calm reasonable people begin to glimpse the true nature of the crimes being committed by the idf. First footage on channel4 about a week ago showing the huge israeli-only roads dividing up palestine. First footage of the sprinklers on the settlement lawns while palestinians next door suffer drought.
And the pro-israeli comments here on imc get steadily more hysterical and illogical.
The tide has turned. Truth is beginning to come through. The standard racist slurs aimed at anyone criticising the actions of the Israeli govt are losing their force.
Slowly people see that NOT criticising a government, simply because of its race, is just as TOTALLY RACIST as criticising one for the same reason.

if any of you actually believe in peace and the terrorism from both sides has not turned you into an extremist yourself then we must work together between those who denounce terrorism and support peace of both sides, yes that means israeli's and palestinians who both are against terrorism to work together, the conflict is too bloody to continue, every day the innocent are being killed, i don't know how anyone can sit back and not take a stand against this.

we need to organise between all of us, regardless of politics and religion to support peace over there, if anyone would like to start a new campaign, a new movement or knows of a good existing one tell me.
