Film and Public Meeting
hosted by Thessaloniki Prisoners Solidarity
Tuesday 1 July, 8pm
at London Action Resource Centre,
62 Fieldgate Street, London E1
Simon Chapman from the UK and 7 other activists from
Europe, the Middle East and the United States are
languishing in a maximum-security jail in Greece.
Refused bail they must wait for 3 months until they
are able to appeal against very serious charges,
fabricated by the police.
They were attacked by cops during a demonstration
against the EU summit in Thessaloniki. Unknown to
the police at the time, the entire incident was caught
on camera, and we hope, helps to build the strongest
case possible to drop the charges and set them all
Returned activists will report back on the current
situation and the meeting will discuss ways to support
Simon and show our solidarity with the Saloniki 8.
An International Day of Action for the Saloniki 8 is
planned for Thursday 10th July and we will talk about
how we can contribute to this.
The meeting is FREE, but suggested donations on the
door of £1unwaged or £2 waged will be sent on to
Greec tohelp Simon buy prison essentials while he is
