A very short, tongue-in-cheek pre-press release about the imminent launch of the best Indymedia yet (hey, there's nothing wrong with a bit of competition ;). People of Leeds, lock your doors, and get online: Leeds IMC is ready to rock and roll
Its 23.31, the rain is tapping at the windows, and children across Leeds are shimmying down drainpipes to rob houses, steal cars and smoke crack into the early hours before school, when they'll do the same with teachers who still call themselves 'socialists'.
Unknown to these Blairites of the future, a small group of fanaticals are busily typing away into the night as they prepare the all singing, all dancing Leeds Indymedia site for general release in time for Independence from America Day, July 4th, and the protests at US spy base Menwith Hill.
Our banner, newswire, links, colours, editorial and mission statements are done. All thats left is the features column. The cake and tea are on the go and we're almost there.
In one hour we should be live to Leeds, the nation and the world.
