Educating Who About What?

The Circled A and its Parasites

parasite n 1. an organism living in or on another organism for its own benefit 2. something or somebody depending on something or somebody else for existence or support without making a useful or adequate return

Ninety percent of the anarchist movement is a joke.

Anarchism has come to be used to describe anything but anarchism.

Anarchism, as a movement in Britain, is just about nonexistent. Anarchists have no influence whatsoever within the working class, although we see anarchist principles at work all the time throughout our class. The best parts of our lives normally exist outside of anybody's control. Human nature is good; the conditions most of us grow up in are bad.

"Anarchists" get a buzz out of feeling part of some anarchist tradition. They romantically look to Spain as proof that anarchist society is workable and desirable by a mass of people. Yet for some strange reason these people appear to be completely detached form the mass of people who would make anarchism a reality. Maybe it is fear of being pushed out of the way by real people, making real change that keeps the supposed anarchists to their weird little worlds. Jealous of their specialized subject being taken from them by those it's really from and for.

People appear unwilling to face up to the realities of our present society, wishing instead to bury themselves in empty rhetoric and totally empty and useless supposed anarchist organizations that struggle like fuck to sustain themselves. Anarchist groups today appear to be social clubs for society's misfits, where all kinds of weirdos discuss matters they have no connection to, in the grand name of anarchy.

University educated politicos, with absolutely no valid experience of a working class existence, talk emptily about capitalism and class from a position of privileged detachment and every other load of bullshit imag9inable except for anything of value, such as...

1. The middle class's involvement in politics, its contradictions, and the damage done by wevolutionaries and wadicals, their insincerity...
2. How come the anarchist (?) groups who profess to have right lines, have everything but members? Are people thick or is their method of working wrong? (How come very little anarchist propaganda strikes a chord in people?)

People do not want to look at the obstacles that need considering. To look at society and to realize the reality of the situation that we live in is something very unpalatable for most supposed anarchists. Most supposed anarchists haven't the bottle or desire. Until discussion begins that privileged idiots and boring politicos do not hinder, we haven't a hope in hell of getting anywhere.

We know in anarchist politics that most people give up at the first hurdle out of frustration and defensiveness. People dig themselves into a corner - staying put in their road to nowhere; groups producing crap papers no one seems to want to buy or read.

Most political shit that gets produced bears no relation to people's lives. Most of what is produced assumes the reader is a political bore with plenty of knowledge of irrelevant and pathetic political language, half of which comes from another classes' view of things. The middle class is very inarticulate; they try to hide this by their use of words. When we understand the words the academics use, the fuckers have no hiding place. They have nothing to say and no reason to try to say anything 'political'.

The academics (bored people who sit on the sidelines of any class conflict), who profess to be revolutionaries, have main priorities which seem to be making almost, but not quite, stimulating books and magazines for very unstimulating people - kind of like pseudo intellectual shit to have on your coffee table to impress impressionable fools with and to help the purchaser to feel that they are concerning themselves with the world's ills, when really they are not. There's actually comfort in such 'politics' for some people.

Turning a blind eye to unsightly reality will not further anarchism in any way. The anarchist exists in irrelevant groups as a shield to protect them from reality. It's avoidance of accepting that they're ignored and powerless... and realistically, up to nothing of any value.

Is it Trumpton we live in, or England?

One anarchist (?) from the Solidarity Federation said at a recent meeting of the Northern Anarchist Network, "I'm sick of hearing about the middle class - there are only bosses and workers." In the cartoon world of his organization this is maybe the case. A very simple and romanticized view of things. A very, very inadequate view of society, outdated by maybe 70 or 80 years or so. We know this view is the basis of all anarchist groups - out of date left wing rubbish.

Everyone else knows society has changed and does change, but not the politicos. Concrete realities that clash with their views they choose to ignore.

Millions of us are on the dole and don't have bosses as such, yet we do have middle class people affecting out lives, breathing down our next, held up to us as successful people and role models. Our managers and controllers - but not necessarily our bosses.

What world do some people inhabit in order to come up with such a line? Some people's vision of society is basically addled by their involvement in 'politics'. The critical lack of class analysis that exists within supposed class politics enables ex-public schoolboys and all other shades of liberals to stand along side working class revolutionaries without it seeming peculiar. Questions are not asked, which spares the impostors embarrassment and creates a very weak and bastardized movement. We don't speak up 'cause usually we don't want to make fools of these clowns who are supposedly on our side. This should end, though. Politeness is the art of non-communication.

Talking about fighting back today is like talking about rope in the house of a hanged man. Thanks to the wonderful politicos - everything they touch turns to shit.

Middle class people elbow their way into wherever there's room. Their behavior is selfish, causing the people who really do give a fuck to move away to look for something more real. If you're sick of the bastards who we are up against as a class, and you try to do something about it, you end up finding the bastards exist in the same roles in politics as they do outside politics - controlling and dominant. Middle class behavior in politics is disgusting and it's no wonder people move away from it. Their involvement is an embarrassment. Our class is blessed with common sense and can usually suss out bullshitters a mile of and stay away as a result.

Some people start fires or cut themselves up to get attention while other people join bands.

"The revolutionary and social goals of anarchism are suffering and far-reaching to a point where the word anarchy will become part of the chic bourgeois vocabulary of the coming century - naughty, rebellious, but deliciously safe."
- Murray Bookchin, "Social Anarchism or Lifestyle Anarchism"

For some anarchy is about social change, for others it is about social status. Anarchism has its subculture figureheads, who tell us from stages and with lights shining on them that hierarchy, rock 'n' roll, and the status it gives them to pop idiots is wrong (what needs to be said about that?). They sing the praises of people involved in struggle yet remain at a comfortable and well-maintained distance themselves, because what they are and what they would like us to believe they are are two entirely different things. It is only that the audience isn't meant to discuss or see that bit. Go on, you've achieved your five seconds to say something pretentious, stupid and embarrassing and pretend it's somehow related to anarchism.

Chumbawamba ride on the courage and strengths of other people's endeavors, hoping it'll put a bit of credibility their way. They need a liberal audience to appear radical. It's funny how such parasitic behavior gets applauded - but then look at who applauds it, and it does not matter. Some people did a bookstall at a Chumbawamba gig - it was on their 'Anarchy' tour. The stall took 5 quid (or thereabouts). Everyone had the "anarchy" shirts on but didn't give a fuck for anarchy.

Pulp, in their song "Common People" deal with class politics in more depth than our right-on heroes Chumbawamba do in maybe 7 albums.

Anarchism is 100% about class.
Chumbawamba are 100% about bullshit.

People ape other people's experience and language when they know their own as ho value. Mumbojumbo's "Baader Meinhoff" - chic graphic design from un-chic flopstars.

Chumbawamba's white rapper, Grand Master Knobhead! He raps to us he's "close to the edge". Close to what edge? Chumbawamba are ponces who tried to ride on the back of young black rappers "Credit To The Nation". If Credit To The Nation were white, Chumbawamba would have ignored them. Hey look our support band is black that means we're cool.

Chumbawamba hoped to get some mileage out of other people's skin color. Ebony and ivory living together in perfect harmony.

People's need to be on strange and in the limelight all the time seems to suggest deep underlying personal problems rather than anything else. Insecurity gone mad. As the peak of their success slowly disappears these individuals are left scared, scrambling for credibility, losing ground on a lot of fronts.

Anarchy for whom? The pathetic and cultureless offspring of white middle class bores. Chumbawamba sponge off anarchism and anarchists. IF we're going to talk about anarchy, let's get it right, because petty childish rebellion is one thing, anarchism is another.

Some members of Chumbawamba claim to be confused about their sexuality (apparently it's hip to be in some circles). To us Chumbawamba appear to be confused about everything. Too much coke maybe. Chumbawamba praise the word anarchy. It has served them well. It helps them get their dicks sucked and their asses licked by all kinds of liberal clowns. Their use of a word helps them be the center of attention in a world and social scene built on insecurity and hierarchy. Hey, I'm an anarchist, baby, suck my dick.

Homophobia is the worst disease, according to that super street-wise anarchist band Chumbawamba. (Poverty and starvation are better?)

" 'I'-Portraits of Anarchists" by band member's girlfriend Casey Orr (the Linda McCartney of the anarchist movement) should be called "Portraits Of Our Wankey Mates And People We'd Like To Be Respected By". The intro to this book is serious sad shit. The book is pretentious rubbish. Chumbawamba's bred of "anarchism" is about legitimizing their own position. What we really see is self-obsession and pretentious indulgent shit by people needing to find a way of dealing with and justifying a lifestyle and behavior that's in conflict with an idea they claim to old dear. 'I' (as and individual) Portraits of Anarchists was published by One Little Indian (One Little Rich Kid) ex-flux of pink Indians - now millionaire businessman, but old mate of the anarchist supergroup. Apparently Chumbawamba are blameless and above criticism. Blameless? Or clueless?

"Thus they end up not only proclaiming the worst authoritarian lies about anarchism (that it consists of unbridled egoism and rejection of organization), but they also end up adopting the philosophical foundation of the capitalist society they profess to hate so much..."
-Chaz Bufe, "Listen, Anarchist!"

What Chumbawamba participate in is hierarchical youth subculture - a thing based on fashion, money, and a lot of insecurity. They are no more anarchists than they are a credible Indy band.

Anarchy As A Gimmick

Pictures of circled-A's help sell dull records.

Margaret Thatcher would be proud of this 'individualism' that Chumbawamba try to tell us is anarchist. Margaret Thatcher called it Conservatism.

Chumbawamba have started taking drugs and they're gonna let the world know about it. Fetching their lame politics into this too. They've done a leaflet claiming ecstasy represents rebellion - maybe for the middle class, who has totally different relationship to the drug-taking than most of the working class do:

1. Drugs as a bohemian trip.
2. Drugs as a way of escaping surroundings.

Chumbawamba are irresponsible idiots. Opening their little mouths all the time on subjects they don't even have the decency to look into in any depth. We hope Chumbawamba's drug-taking takes them to the place it's taken some of our mates.

Educating Who About What?

This is not an attempt to offer yet another inadequate analysis of society. This is highlighting the rubbish and this is a criticism of the people who attach themselves to anarchism for the wrong reasons - their own reasons. And not for the good of people.

By understanding class we understand the nature of the state. The state is the machinery necessary to keep rich people's society running smoothly. Its schools gear us towards obedience, we own nothing but our bodies and they're bought from us for fuck all. (A job center has just got away with and had replies for a job offering £1.48 and hour.)

The back page of Class War's paper (Sept/Oct issue 69) has got an article about the theft of land off the working class. The article was about golf courses! Where is it that the working class own land? Mars, Jupiter, the Moon?

Some people are so divorced from the real world and its workings its almost like they're stoned. The supposed political circle they mix in is the cushion from this. They top the bullshit up in each other. Patting each other on the back, "Hey, we're at the forefront of radical politics, we're really something."

The Diversionary Politics of Irrelevance

When they've had enough of the game playing, they idiot liberals tend to disappear into "equal opportunities" jobs, falling back on the privileged education that they told us didn't account for much at last week's boring political meeting.

"Equal opportunities" for who? Working class is about denial of opportunity. How many middle class bastards do you get in prisons? Politics, for a lot of people, serves the purpose of socializing and ladder climbing (as in hierarchy). The downside for these people is that the politics side of it becomes a pain in the ass. The political activity is dropped when their personal goals are met.

All good ideas used by the middle class are stolen, begged and borrowed as a result of lack of culture, insight and experience.

We applaud the excessive use of drugs in some quarters of the anarchist movement.

We are not interested or concerned with any aspect of middle class people's lives. We're sick and tired of them in our faces patronizing us when they are not trying to suck up to us.

The 'political' scene is the world in miniature; it is a marvelous place to view absurdity, stupidity, etc.

"The anarchist movement reflects society, the privileged elite playing power games."
-Irate Press

There are some people who, while denouncing society, etc., would hate to be without a cozy place at the top of the ghetto's ladder. They like the sound of their own voices - they need their audience as there's no place for them as an 'ordinary' person - this would finish them off. The bosses need the workers - the pop stars and celebrity anarchists need the weak and gullible admirers.

Absence Of Sincerity

A lot of people are involved in politics for their own agendas. This is the part of the conflict we come up against time and time again, where a lot of time is wasted as these agendas are revealed. You can waste a lot of time and energy having to listen to some fruitcake's ridiculous opinions.

For those who attach themselves to anarchism without actually being anarchist, just what is it they are about? You're a fuckin' pain in the ass, and we're not a charity with the time or desire to get to the root of your problems.

People's common sense can become dulled when they associate with political knobheads.

Some people's discomfort with other people's race, color, or sexuality comes out in bizarre anti-racist pro-gay phony lipservice bullshit. Compensatory behavior.

University Challenged

Of a scene I know there's only a few of us who've never been to polytechnics or universities. Half the bastards who have been denounce it, and at the same time are stuck with its cabbaged outlook. These people, to my mind, have severe learning difficulties. "Educational" establishments seem to manage to strip people of intelligence.

The law of this world is to show no emotions, just logic. (Do they possess emotion?) It is an approach passed on into politics form the influence of their backgrounds; from their homes, form the 'education' they received at university. It can be seen in all the empty and cold political shit the middle class and Uncle Toms produce. They have loved the university and polytechnics - the sad bastards still wish they were there. Their bullshit writings are proof of this rubbish. They've got nothing to say, that's why they use words that don't mean anything. In the same way, some anarchists denounce Marxist-Leninist shit, but still talk of it and adopt the same empty, cold and invalid approach to 'politics': the bastardization of politics by middle class filth. Denouncing something on one hand supporting and continuing it on the other.

Academics are the ones with the genuine learning difficulties. As anarchist we need to police our movement and to be hostile and uncompromising in dealing with the idiots who attach themselves to it.

We're always taught to be nice to the people who treat us like shit. If the middle class wants to contribute to a classless society, how come they don't' go home and take the matter up with their own kind. Instead they come into areas alien to them and to a culture alien to them, trying to educate people who they believe have everything to gain from their enlightened vision. What bullshit.

To all animal righters who consider themselves anarchists: You're so wrong you're an embarrassment. You try to attach yourselves to anarchism to lend some credibility to your very weak and unthoughout ideas. You're reformist idiots and in no way anarchists. Vegan capitalism - no thanks.

It's shocking to see people with such a minute grudge against capitalism, yet at the same time claiming to be anarchist. That's definitely not right.

The subculture of anarchism creates a bizarre environment. Working class anarchists seem easily to forget the environment they've come from. They look upon their own past as not typical so their families aren't the people that we would one day want to be alongside them as fellow anarchists.

When people forget their own backgrounds this is when we fail. We need to be realistic when we look at society and take it upon ourselves to try and change it.

As was said in Merseyside Anarchist, "If you want to change the world you have to see it how it is... without illusions."

Some anarchists are so coated in the shit of left wing politics that they feel they're only credible as 'politics' when their groups adopt a comparable approach and stance. These people are idiots. Lack of class confidence allows middle class people an opening in class politics. It's comical that some people call themselves anarchist yet hold key, almost authoritarian, positions in organizations, becoming dominant figures. Rather than for encouraging anarchism, this seems to be against it.

We've all seen the comedy sketch were one person plays loads of different roles by just putting on different hats and moustaches, etc. Professional revolutionaries act out that one all the time. The sketch in the first place is a really poor joke.

For some older anarchists, they'd be surrounded by ten or so hangers on and they're happy as a pig in shit. Power is appealing to those who don't possess it.

Query Everything

There should be no class mixing.

Politicos more often than not exist as a totally separate entity. They need to create a 'political scene' to validate their own rubbish. They exist purposefully outside of reality. Their inability to relate to people outside of politics is a hilarious illustration of the crisis - the bankruptcy of their class.

Irrevolutionaries. Irrelevance is best kept irrelevant - an audience that would show it up would embarrass the fools behind it. Politicos are the least 'political' people we've had the misfortune to come across. Their lack of understanding leaves us speechless. Full of great words but not an ounce of suss.

It's upsetting when you see working class people swallowing academic political dogshit, listening to fools as if they've something credible to say. We've done that ourselves, when you feel your experience and view of things is of no value you'll listen politely to all kinds of clowns.

A lot of people are scared off as a result of alienating language in supposed radical politics. Language is used to deter the involvement of "ordinary people". The politicos fear being scrutinized by the class they always harp on about. So they make sure enough is put in the way to keep working class people out and like-minded "politicized?" imbeciles in.

Unfortunately in England what's on offer as regards a radical alternative is middle class dominated irrelevant rubbish.

The things that work against our class are enormous. The middle class pick up their 'politics' form the inadequate little punch lines in inadequate little papers and then think they're fit to comment on the state of things. Present anarchist politics are woefully inadequate in 1996. Anarchism (as in revolutionary class politics) should not be an open house for every casualty and idiot. They should be kicked out.

If the role of the anarchist group is to absorb class anger then it does its job well. As working class anarchists we should not piss about within liberal circles. Unless it's to goad 'em.

It would appear that there's nothing of value to be found in books judging by a lot of what such well-read idiots are about. 'Politics' is a sanctuary for some pretty boring people. The part of it that does anything for us comes form those people fresh from reality, estates, and dole queues.

As kids you go into schools to have the impurities knocked out of you. You should say the same about politics. You go in fresh and come out exhausted, battling against such clowns and tired and irrelevant ideas. The alternative isn't an alternative. Not when it possesses all the same rubbish as the shit you're against. Politics as it stands is like a Venus Fly Trap. It's a serious distraction to keep working class people from fighting back.

Reds really are living in the past. It's a seriously bleak outlook for them. No one takes them seriously, and through their eyes, people aren't capable of creating anything better. That's bleak. Red bosses! Some people are in a bad way to be reduced to pursuing this as a goal and as supposedly revolutionary politics.

The left has deterred more people away from "politics" than it has encouraged. And the idiots who attach themselves to anarchism couldn't be worse adverts for the credibility of anarchism.

So for a moment, never mind about the right being a threat, what about the left? Wankey politics for wankey people. Yet many anarchists socialize with and feel they are somehow lefty.

Left Of What?

Academics' politics have the same relationship to the working class as pimps do to prostitutes. One is a parasite to the other, just like bosses but without the power. One working class anarchist is worth 500 middle class people when it comes to class and agitating. One encourages, the other deters. The situation of "anarchism" in Britain is in need of serious attention. But how many people have got the courage and conviction to put aside present bullshit in favor of looking at the obstacles to class freedom in our neck of the woods?

If you were to take a comb through the "anarchist" scene and combed out the students, liberals, and those who enjoy the "cloak and dagger" side to anarchism, or the idiot academics who hide out in groups like Diversion and others, you would be left with a small minority. This is the anarchist movement of value to Anarchism in England today. We're part of it.

We should never allow ourselves to be suckered by the middle class. It's no surprise some individuals consider themselves red rather than anarchists. It would seem as though the reds are more concerned with wholehearted adoption of middle class shit than with working class freedom.

There are some middle class individuals who have the dignity to understand their class positions and the complexity of society and as a result choose relevant and valid areas to work in. These people are few and far between. They do not pretend to be anything other than who they are. It is unfortunate they are a minority. The majority continues to be clueless fucking idiots, with big mouths and small brains.

Middle class politics - a refuge for guilt-ridden idiots. There are people who are anarchists and people who want to be anarchists.

The anarchist movement has been bled dry by parasites that think it's chic and cool to call yourself an anarchist. Why don't some people call themselves knobheads instead - it is more accurate.

A good percentage of the people in politics are basically a form of tourist - only around for a short time and they're only to use, rather than contribute.

There is an aspect of humanity that lives way beyond any and completely outside of economics and class.

How can you give a state of being a term? I had a great "libertarian communist" time the other night! Politicos are fucked really - why pretend it's any other way? Although attempts have been made, anarchists in Britain have no bottle to look at reality and seem even incapable of addressing the sad bullshit that exists within their own, divorced-from-reality bullshit ghetto. So don't be expecting too much from most anarchists. They couldn't organize a piss-up in a brewery.

There's No Rebellion In Adhering To The Past

People try to fit yesteryear's analysis to today's situation.

So many supposed anarchists knock the Irish nationalists, which is fair enough when you're one hundred miles and one class away from them. Some of the assholes who knock the struggle in Ireland are such innocent liberals - getting arrested for them would scare the shit out of them, never mind any other form of grief. Their frontline is in the debating rooms of universities.

Never mind how things should be, what about how things are? Politicos can dream up any smart theory they want. Most liberal politicos are out and out boring bastards. No wonder no one will listen to their sad unpalatable shit.

Britain is Britain. It's not Germany with its autonomists. It's not Spain with its CNT. It's not France in 1968.

The political situation in England is hard, and much of that has to do with people being tired of deceit in alternatives to the mainstream - Derek Hattons, ACF, etc. Total cynicism born of experience - people are mistrustful of hidden agendas and being used, the anarchists haven't helped that.

Yet how come people want to change a country to fit politics rather than change views to fit the country? "Oh you just romanticize the working class." Who's romanticizing the working class? ACF, CW, DAM (or whatever they're called now).

The Anarchist Workers Group - where are they now? You smelt it here first. The AWG were 20 or so political idiots who were platformists. They wore big shoes, followed Slade and the Glitter Band. Well, the WSM (Workers Solidarity Movement) in Ireland are platformists, too (although some credit to them, they favor a modest 4 inch stack to the AWG's 6 inch). What will become of them - a different shade of the same shit? We'll see about that. They appear embarrassed somewhat when admitting their politics are the same as the AWG.

I read their paper and couldn't fault it - that was cause they'd put fuck all of their crap to it, just written good critical articles. SWP do the same thing in their piece of shit - get people interested (lay the bait) then reveal the hidden side of it all later (reel 'em in, or at least attempt to).

Some "anarchists" are in awe of the trots and copy the trots approach even in the way the tiny little trot clowns split. Shades of the same left wing shit.

Unspectacular Times

We've got to mention the situationists - criticizing society in the language of privilege. It wouldn't matter if 99% of situationists were wiped out by AIDS tomorrow. If it wasn't for Larry Law, no one would have a clue what situationism is (although who does now, really). He had to be the only situationist who attempted to try and make some interesting ideas accessible, probably because he cared about people and wanted to spread ideas rather than be an irrelevant idiot "supposedly" sat on decent ideas. Decent ideas are worth spreading about. Respect to the memory of Larry Law (Larry Law wrote the series of pamphlets called "Spectacular Times" - available AK).

Academic shit such as Here and Now is an attempt to create a feeling of well being to the academic sat safely away from struggle. What passes as anarchist politics seems very inadequate ... but 100% adequate for some. We can't quite believe the individuals who appear happy with the state of things. It just seems more proof of the idea that political involvement is rarely about changing anything.

Everyone with an agenda, everyone pretending they haven't got one.

Winter '94, we went up to Scotland to show some solidarity at the attempted eviction of a squatted unemployed center, we thought it'd be cool. When we get there it was full of punks and druggies. We were embarrassed to be there. The demo to stop the eviction looked more like a scene from a hippy festival. We were embarrassed to be seen involved with this "tribe" of soap dodgers. It looked more like scene from the apocalypse than an attempt to give people faith in fighting for something important.

To our knowledge, walking round looking like a bonfire does not fetch about social change. The greens and the road protesters are the peace movement of the nineties. The peace movement achieved nothing. We've still got nuclear weapons. There's too many diversions promoted by middle class idiots wanting something to get upset about: roads, calves, the trees, CFC's, food additives, etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc capitalism will throw up as many causes the liberals and middle class will consume. We are not meant to suss this or argue this. How many of us have heard of classism?

Green Anarchist has recently reviewed a fascist publication. Any old "mentally ill idiot" is able to use their publication to air their paranoid rubbish. We hope the Green Anarchist mud people are practicing plenty of unsafe sex, but it would seem unlikely anyone would want to shag the care in the community wing of anarchism (no disrespect to people with mental health problems). For giving a platform to fascists Green Anarchist, you twisted idiots; watch your backs you fucking space cadets.

We can't blame people for discounting anarchism as it stands. Until a few more of us stand up and cause some grief, it will stay this way. It's quite likely if a movement does grow seeing itself as autonomous/revolutionary anarchist, it's likely to have fuck all to do with the anarchist groups and at the moment that ain't a bad thing.

When we see black politics run by whites we know it's bullshit. Liberal do-gooders.

The middle class, regardless of sex or race, always continues its shitty roles in "radical" politics as they do anywhere. It's a habit they don't drop and unfortunately it's down to us to stop it.

History shows how the liberal will help dilute and distract movements that have potential to bring about radical social change. The middle class get fuckin' everywhere.

Standing up for your class, you can be accused of romanticizing the working class. That is comical when it comes from the mouths of those with some fairy tale and simplistic views of class politics and revolution. The last thing we hold is a rose tinted view of anything. The only thing we romanticize is violence, when it is used appropriately.

It's funny how people who talk of the class war do their utmost to calm down class conflict at political meetings. "Keep it theoretical, comrade."

You can't pretend to understand class if you're not working class. There are more than enough people within anarchist who are the offspring of the privileged. There's a rough area near where I've lived over 8 years. I watch all the liberals rough it for a while there, then fuck off to somewhere safer, eventually buying houses. The song 'Common People' by Pulp is spot on in describing the kind of people we see in anarchist circles.

I tried to address what I thought was a bizarre situation: a local Class War group that was predominantly middle class. Most working class people had left the group and given up trying to get anywhere in that environment. In response to my observation, I was told by a member of the group that there are "doers in this world and knockers" and that I was knocker - someone who criticized. (What a poor term.) Obviously this person didn't think there was anything to be addressed or more correctly didn't want anything to be addressed. What can you say when you come up against such vision as that? Point blank refusal to look at class politics at play by someone who takes themselves seriously as being supposedly into class politics!

Punk rock politics or what. Don't rock the boat you working class bastard. We were having a nice time before you came in with your irritating observations. People who play at being clued-up do not take kindly to having their fellow bullshitters' hypocritical actions being pointed out to them by those not professing to be professional revolutionaries.

The middle class moves the goalposts when it suits them, especially when they want to include themselves as 'workers'. Controllers more like. You get tired of being dismissed by middle class idiots who want to be all nicey-nicey and civil. And who don't want their hobby that is politics to be disturbed by angry fuckers, intolerant of bullshit.

No middle class people want to give up their class position. This is as evident in politics as it is anywhere. The Anarchist Black Cross is an anarchist prisoners' support group. Yet how come animal rights people are on their books? What is the connection of animal rights activists to anarchism? How long will we give credibility to animal righters' supposed anarchist politics? The shit that animal rights people come out with knows no bounds.

Anarchists seem to take any old idiots in. Anarchists are a soft touch too often. Working class people have an understanding of class that is way beyond any imagined bullshit in politics. It may not have the favored language of the political idiots but it's a thousand times more real. Politicos are unable to see the level of "decency" within the working class, not because it doesn't exist, but because political idiots are detached, blind and stupid. Some people would benefit from life outside the cult-like situation of politics.

What, really, have the politicos to say to people outside of their irrelevant social clubs? "Hey, you're being oppressed!" To think we can stand alongside the middle class and on the same side, fight a common enemy is ridiculous.

I innocently thought if someone was an anarchist, that's cool. I didn't understand people's reasons for saying they were. I would respect their integrity and sincerity. Someone's read a lot of books, oh yeah, they're clever and I should listen to them. This is what our class is taught all our lives. You can only listen to bullshit for so long, and then it normally reveals itself. Innocence is not a crime, but innocence is not what we are against here.

It's not that giving middle class politicos the benefit of the doubt should end - it should never have begun. The middle class contributes nothing but take loads - valuable time at meetings, limelight positions of power, respect they don't deserve. They take energy, demand attention, elbow their way in, shout their mouths off and then fuck off. The middle class is full to the brim with confidence; it's a shame. It's the wrong people in our society who have it beaten out of them. We have earned out confidence - it was not given to us - we make no apologies.

Some people are tired of being poor - some people play at being poor and disadvantaged.

Some of us would love to take the escape routes the privileged in politics have tucked in their back pockets. They play at being oppressed for as long as it's comfortable to be, then they step back into the world they're from - with the audacity to think they were out there and that they've done their bit. They sit back feeling qualified to be cynical when really they've' don't' fuck all other than take from something creating cynicism in the process. They use their past involvements like a little medal to pin on their chests.

Our culture will never be theirs. Where we come from, people try so hard to get out. It's an insult when you get all those goons trying to "get in", pretending to be footy fans, etc., how sad are they?

Little Boys' Fantasies Lived Out When They're Older Through Politics

Infiltrators, spies, going under cover to expose dastardly goings on. Enid Blyton would be proud of some of the cloak-and-dagger brigade. The people who are attracted to the cloak-and-dagger aspect of anarchism are like children. They've probably never done a naughty thing in their life. It's romantic rubbish. Some people want to believe they're a threat when the reality is they're a fuckin' joke.

What does 'active' mean? That how busy I look may convince someone of my radical credibility? People who live by conspiracy theory... Paranoid people creating paranoia to intrigue innocents. Creating amusement for us. There was a bloke wearing a cape in one group - what a clown! Naught people... WOW.

The Angry Brigade was good. Unfortunately their message was overshadowed by the actions. The message was fuckin' cool and we have people taking actions out of the context of the situation (the political climate of the time) and the glamorization of the action, rather than respecting the reason for the action.

Why do people have an obsession with the past when the present is what matters? People who exist in the real world could never allow themselves to get into all the academic shit. If it can't be said, what the fuck is it about? If your reference to academia isn't real life and the improvement of it, it's worth giving up pretending you give a fuck, and it's worth accepting the love of academia over people and their well being. Be what you are - don't bore us pretending it's about revolution when you make a joke about the idea and possibility of change.

This wasn't written to please anybody in the anarchist movement. It's pointless beginning discussion with the majority of anarchists. We've spent years trying and watching as the oh-so-correct groups disintegrate.

At a sad-as-fuck meeting of the Northern Anarchist Network (summer '95) one guy (ACF = abstract comedians federation) wanted to organize a demo to reclaim the skirt to challenge opinions about gender. The meeting stunned me as people who'd been around 10 years or more sat by and listened to this rubbish. The Northern Anarchist Network is like the House of Lords. It's full of boring bastards who enjoy the idea they're 'out there, man'. Card-carrying anarchists. Real radicals. The fact is a good number of them are anything but radical - threatened by opinions that go further than where the lightweights dare to tread. Never mind taking on the government, some people are scared of taking onboard simple ideas. Aren't the "anarchists" brave?

This is an attempt to get things on course and to step up and create the necessary hostile anarchist movement so all the idiots, posers, and academic pricks fuck off and play some other game. The "anarchist" movement should be hostile to the bullshit that's now at the heart of anarchism in Britain. People can go into politics as innocent as children going into school, coming out regurgitating someone else's shit and ignorance, knowing no better, of course. It's only health that people question things. Be prepared to deal with the defense mechanisms of some sad idiots if you do that.

A lot of individuals are threatened by criticism. They are threatened so much that they develop a condition called selective hearing, where only parts of what's being said will be heard. We learnt of this condition through our dealings with the posing idiots who want to be seen as anarchists.

If the organized anarchist approach to politics is so right, what the fuck happened to the masses? How come the masses have ignored so much enlightenment? Where are all your members?

People cling to politics out of desperation. 'Politics' for some is basically another crutch. All conversation amongst politicos helps them to ignore their irrelevance. As long as they're bumming each other nothing matters to them.

Academia - the last hidey-hole for the hopeless. Point-scoring idiot academics playing at giving a fuck when everything points to the fact that they don't. The less time I've spent amongst the anarchist movement the less credible and relevant I see it as being. There are a lot of us who consider ourselves "anarchists" who find ourselves on the outside of what's supposedly the "anarchist" movement. We may be anarchists but the word becomes a joke. The anarchist movement is so way off the mark and contains all the ugly aspects of the left that people claim to despise.

We believe anarchism is valid and desirable but that's not the case with "the movement".

Ten days that amused the bosses. Ten days that massaged the egos of the sad fucks that crawl out of the woodwork to try to pretend they're the old guard of anarchism in Britain. A lifestylists' convention.

To call ourselves anarchists is comical - most of the time it means nothing. The rubbish that exists in anarchism is so ridiculously obvious, that it's there to be attacked. For some of us, it's a price to pay to be outcaste within the anarchist crap. Fortunately we are not the social inadequates who need anarchist subculture for our needs, identity, sexual partners, etc.

We are anarchists; it's not a debate. There's no point in entering into any dialogue with 90% of the people attracted to anarchism, though, because they are not anarchists. There is no bridge and there never should be between those who understand anarchism and desire it as a result of our class and the people who drop down into our world from places of privilege. Genuine people looking for genuine change on one hand and clowns with too much time on their hands on the other. Why should we be polite to idiots? Are we mugs?

The middle class does a lot of talking. The working class does a lot of listening. All the bullshit anarchists who read all the bullshit anarchist history act horrified when we are openly hostile to lefty idiots. Liberals ignore the authoritarian politics of the left along with all the dirty tricks and the disillusion they create.

A lot of the supposed anarchists' politics mean absolutely nothing in real life. The one or two of us who put our money where our mouths are end up standing out like sore thumbs and patronized for having bottle. The bottle we see most of in anarchist political circles belongs to the pissheads and alcoholics.

If the left is so invalid, irrelevant, etc., how come all the anarchists can't be like them enough? We should be hostile to all that exists as a parasite to anarchism. 'Politicos with anarchist sympathies' is a more correct way of describing the people who make up the majority of the anarchists. I've met anarchists who say the fascists aren't a threat and that antifascism is as valid as hunt sabotage? They appreciate the space created by the removal of fascists and their ability to organize, and then say fascists aren't a threat.

For now, it doesn't matter if you're anarcho-syndicalist?, libertarian communist?, council communist?, anarcho-feminist?, blah-di-blah. For now, politics is so bastardized by middle class influence and interference. Our class is mistrustful of hidden agendas and rightly so. Socialism From Below was AWG's paper. Socialism From Beyond is what it got called.

The fact that people are 'participating in politics' for bizarre reasons shows itself when you get supposed anarchists joining Trot groups and Trots joining anarchist groups (yes, it does happen). How do such situations come about? People swapping opposing views. The AWG 'anarchists(!)' (WSM's cousins) are now RCP - from anarchist to state communist!

Class War is dominated by the middle class with the occasional working class lapdog who comes to their sick defense. Class structure perfectly intact and unquestioned by those who'd like us to think that they're on the ball and sussed about class.

"When the middle class follow the working class, it is because they think their own ideas are empty, and they're right."
-Eric Cantona (Manchester University Anti-Fascist)

Some people are in denial of their class backgrounds. Unfortunately we see this from working class supposed A's too. We reckon they should be fucking ashamed of themselves. Those of us who cannot ignore the reality of our working class experience should step aside from the fuckin' idiots who are playing at it and swamp politics, and to stand separate and outside this face. What passes as anarchism is a disgusting travesty.

People learn from their experience. Our experience has been: you can't have working class and middle class together in politics. Two different experiences that translate poorly as regards coherent class politics - they don't get together at all.

So much time and energy is swallowed up listening to liberals' opinions and middle class drivel. Every institution of our day: the church, the family, the state, oh, and boring political knobheads see in every beautiful, strong, uncompromising individual, a deadly enemy.

The middle class is in the business of controlling things, so are their children who involve themselves in other people's business.

For some people, 'political involvement' is their identity. Its' everything they've been looking for. "Hey, I'm an anarchist, I'm really something special." They can find themselves a little place in its little world. They can shelter from the experiences of reality that dissolve their bullshit into nothing. To question their supposed ideals threatens the environment they want to exist in.

The Emperor's New Clothes

The academic's influence is like the emperor's new clothes. Academics think they stand clothed when in reality they haven't a stitch on - they possess not once ounce of suss. Nothing can cover up their nakedness, only their reliance on the naïveté of other people not to notice their complete stupid irrelevance. We're mugs, those of us who are working class who take the idiots in politics seriously.

To criticize academia is not to dismiss thought and analysis - it is to draw a line at self-indulgent politicos' bizarre and decadent outpourings and to try and put a stop to the incredible amount of bullshit that attempts to pass itself off as revolutionary. At ground level, most politicos haven't got a clue.

Some people adhere to strains of past anarchist organization. Clinging onto a fading reality for dear life. The defensiveness of some people regarding their views is comical because for most people it is all they are - ideas and nothing else.

Chomsky has some fair enough views but he is absolutely marginalized and appears to just lend credibility to academia rather than encourage revolt. The boys' club, private members only - academics are 99% boring, lifeless idiots.

We have nothing against intelligence. We possess enough of it to see the lack of it coming from the oh-so-educated radicals in the name of it. We aren't against the use of brains - we are against people hiding behind academic rubbish, being absolute dicks in the guise of being revolutionaries.

What's clever about being irrelevant? Is there something we've missed about that one???

Maybe some people produce academic rubbish just to help comfort one another. To criticize what exists here, we recommend you read what's written here. You'll never know who you've stood beside in anarchist circles as a lot of middle class goons have taken to altering their language to help mask their class identity. Anything to pretend they're something other than what they are.

Full Time Activists / Part Time Revolutionaries. Yawn, It's A Politico.

When people set themselves up as full-time activists, they seem to discourage participation. They become a bad advertisement of what being involved is about. They become caricatures. Viz comic would have a field day if they met the knobheads that are floating about. No wonder people stay away, they're scared of what they'll turn into.

Activists moan like fuck when they choose to take on work. Martyrdom. 'If I do more, it will make me more credible.' It's funny how politicos denounce religion when they act like the worst kind of religious nutters that are around.

We hope Homocult has a very "positive" effect on some individuals. Art can never mean anything to the middle class, as they have nothing to express. Middle class art is lame, indulgent shit. So is most, if not all of what the middle class is and stands for.

This Is Class War?
The Bastardization Of Class Politics By Middle Class Filth

One individual in Leeds Class War group began a new job. He is from a middle class background. Management took a shine to him. After being in this new workplace for around 14 weeks, management encouraged him to go for a promotion. He went for the job and he got the job. This asshole got the promotion ahead of workers who went for the same jobs and had been there up to three years, and they had way more experience and were well capable of doing the job. The people who didn't get the job were stunned and angry as were other on looking workers when they found out who got the job. The situation was ridiculous and created some serious frustration amongst the workers. If came to our attention only when someone was laughing at the idea of class politics, sighting this guy as an example of supposed radical class politics in action.

* He's now above those he went for the job with.
* He's argued against criticisms of management at work meetings.
* He is treating people like shit and telling those on half his income to work harder.
* He has argued that some job cuts my management were necessary, knowing damn well his job was secure and job losses would affect the lowest paid staff.
* He has never spoken out against the management.
* He does work outside of his contract that should be done by outside people (different departments). This was beneficial to himself and the bosses and got other people's backs up.

Given his position, people are over a barrel in having a go back. People around him at work think he's a fucking prick and the class war bullshit cracks them up. A few of us eventually found out what was going on. Then, a letter was written to the Class War group in question after the situation was looked in to by talking to those directly involved to make sure what was being said against this bloke was true. We did our homework. Our first letter briefly outlined the situation. Their reply to our first letter was this:

"Got your letter. The only part we thought was political was concerning the accusation of Alan siding with management... As far as we're concerned as a group, we don't want anything to do with the internal politics of Alan... We don't believe Alan is up management's arse."

We wrote again. This is from their second reply, November 9, 1995:

"To 'our group' you sound like a purist who's making a scapegoat of Alan, but persecuting an individual is no substitute for political activity... Trying to hang politics onto this situation is ridiculous."

Their stupid replies were meant to deal with our allegations! What world do some idiots live in and what kind of people are they meant to dismiss with shit like this? These quotes are the crux of the letter and have not been taken out of context to bolster a weak argument on our part.

These quotes were from the second letter Class War sent. Their first one came on headed notepaper with "class pride and class unity" on it. When we wrote again we asked them, "Whose class were you referring to"? We've made no secret to this Class War group or anyone else that we have our sharply trained eye on the bastard in question. This Class War group has attempted to ignore this situation no doubt because it embarrasses the fuck out of them.

They are a very clear and disgusting example of people's involvement in class politics having no connection to class politics whatsoever. Their personal needs are met playing their pathetic game of politics while contributing to other people's despair.

Working class people in Class War and other organizations should take a look at their class mixing and see where it's getting them and their supposed politics. Class War is a fucking joke. We would like these sad bastards to be aware people around them see them as being nothing but embarrassing idiots. The individual in question's behavior has not gone unnoticed.

Being in an environment where you go against the grain as a result of your class is exhausting. This happens to working class people in politics. It becomes easier to shut your mouth than to take on a room full of idiots who talk shit.

Middle class people "rubbish" what bothers their egos and dismiss the clever fuckers who upset the apple cart and rock the boat. Middle class politicos hate those of us with brains - our presence is a bastard to them in politics, and just a bastard to them generally. We are an unwanted presence that threatens them and their bullshit completely.

The "political" environments will always be uncomfortable environments for people who seek a better society. Working class intelligence is feared. Middle class intelligence is a myth. The middle class stands by the term ruling class, no doubt to avoid their class' cozy deal receiving any attention. People who apologize for the middle class in politics are bad news. They try to keep the peace 'cause they want to be in both camps. This has nothing to do with whether they agree or disagree - it's just that "some individuals have so much at stake socially, in politics, and that is the think they work to defend at all costs".

There's a need for hostility, and need for encouragement for all of us who give enough of a fuck to step away from the irrelevance that masquerades as anarchism. Halting the middle class is not about us being petty, uneducated or ignorant: it is about understanding their role in our control and government.

The depth of class is of no concern to those whose minimal agendas are met by their involvement in politics.
