Ok so I have informed the reader of United Kollectives IMC for some time now of the evictions and threat of evictions to the Okupes of the Iberian peninsula.
Well this week it is with great pleasure that I relate the non-eviction of one the other important prime sites of geo-mantic geo-political real estate withdrawn from the Hyper-capitalist and simply downright greedy Capitalist Speculative order and liberated for years just outside Barcelona in the hills.
Can Pascual is a farm and home to many.
Really cool.
Oh but that tranquility was to be rudely disturbed this week.

Police came and surrounded the site with vans and uniforms and judicial documents.
As the reader in United Kollectives might be aware the quasi-special olympics for police men is being held in Barcelona from the end of July to early August, so the local mounties have something to prove perhaps.

every house has a name.
that is perhaps as much title as we may afford bricks and mortar.
but first they must become a home.
{that's just a DISCLAIMER in case the okupes of Can Mas Deu read this and think I'm suggesting they smoke marijauna and sue me bringing me through civil and perhaps criminal action to a ruinous end bankrupt both morally and fiscally. (You have to be careful)}

summer update.

13th August in the exceptional hot weather a half acre of Can Pascual's cultivated greens were lost, mostly garden vegetables not crops.
Portugal the same week lost over 5% of it's forests.
Spain likewise suffered weather related problems from forest fires to refinery explosions, the worst effected areas being Valencia and Catalonia.
(so thankfully the Pentagon used an experimental weather ionisation experiment as scheduled on the 13th of August and provoked unseasonally heavy and _irradiated_ rain on both sides of the Atlantic and cooled everything down. We put our trust in new technology though acknowledging it takes lots of energy [the normal grid requirements of 30 million people] and feel sure that zapping the ionesphere regularly will halt the desertification of southern europe, and make up for the aquafiers of the central USA being empty).
However we must also point out that under current international law,prinicipaly being those resolutions signed and ratified by the USA and European powers, that such manipulations must be publically admitted, prizes must be given to the scientists, and stock to the value of 250million $ may not be manipulated on the NYSE/NASDAQ index which helpfully did not close till normal time on the day in question. [coz that would be insider trading].
