Global Boycott of all American companies

almared_alarabi@yahoo.com | 21.08.2003 11:27 | World

.

In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

In his fatwa to all the Muslims of the world, Sayyed Mohammad Hussein
Fadlallah calls for a boycott of all American companies.

Allah The Most Exalted has ordained that every Muslim should care
about the affairs of all other Muslims and defend their causes by
all possible means in order to preserve their strength and dignity.
The Prophet Mohammad (P)says:

"Whosoever does not care about Muslims' affairs is not a Muslim"

Thus Islam is an intellectual, emotional and practical state in
the Muslim's personality that interacts with Muslims' affairs at
all levels and therefore we cannot be indifferent to their causes.
The Prophet (P) also said:

"Whosoever hears Muslims calling for help without answering that
call is not a Muslim."

And this implies that answering a Muslims' calls for help, either
as an individual or as a community, is an integral part of Islam,
an Islam that would be lost to any Muslim who did not answer such
a call.
The Prophet Mohammad (P) also said:

"Whoever sees a wrong he should change it with his hand but if he
can't with his tongue and if he can't then in his heart which is
the weakest sign of faith."

You all know what happened to our brothers in Palestine. Their
lands were occupied, they were thrown out of their country,
their women, children and elderly were killed, their homes were
destroyed and bombed and the Aqsa Mosque has been profaned and there
are plans to destroy it. They are fighting the enemy and confronting
it with nothing but their bare flesh, stones and light arms. They are
defending themselves, their families, livelihood, land and independence.
They have been crying out for international protection and support
from the Muslim states and peoples. Some of these states that reconciled
with the enemy did not even decide to boycott the enemy politically or
even to withdraw their ambassadors.

They found it sufficient to join the Organization of the Islamic
Conference in its condemnation and protest with no political consequences.

They are all afraid of America who supports the enemy with all its
political, military and economic might. They even prevent the Security
Council and all the states under their influence from condemning the
brutal crimes of "Israel".

The least effort we could make in order to defend Muslims against the
political, economic and military wrongs and aggression is to boycott
all those who support the enemy and who maintain its expansion and
strength.

Especially the United States of America which is the biggest enemy
of all Muslims. We should boycott American goods whenever possible
and you should boycott all "Israeli" goods as well as all the
companies that help "Israeli" companies financially. You should also
put pressure on your governments to stop putting funds into American
banks, as they will be used to support "Israel".

All Muslims remember Allah saying:

"Your nation is but one"

And also saying:

"All believers are brothers"

In addition the Prophet(P) said:

"A Muslim is the brother of his fellow Muslims. He does not wrong him,
surrender him (to the enemy) or let him down".

Allah The Most Exalted wants you to be dignified strong and free and
this cannot be achieved other than by taking a free and strong stand
that emphasizes the unity of the nation and its effectiveness in all
its great causes through a Jihad at all levels by sacrificing one's
life, one's work, one effort or at the very least one's material comfort.

Long suffering Brother / Sister

21.08.2003 11:52

In the name of humanity let me give you some advice from the little I know.

It is the men and women of Plaestine and of recent times Iraq who are suffering the most in this global imperialist/fascist/capitalist plot. Hence i I sypathise with your attempt to do some thing about it.
Can you tell your Fatwa maker that truth wins and not to spin in issuign fatwas.

As we all now well know the pariah state Isreal is a central cause in the suffering of humanity in the middle east. US is criticised and a fatwa issued against it. I do not understand wah ta fatwa is but it is clear that boycotting/singling out US alone is not going to do much as the 'pigs' (as I like to put the inhumane people benefitting directly from the suffering as discussed above) exist and they do exist everywhere concentrated largely in countries liek the UK.

Why not issue a fatwa/resolution (or whatever) against the pigs?
This way the Saudi, Kuwaiti royals etc. will also be targetted.

Best wishes.

What Rubbish!

21.08.2003 13:28

yeah right: a boycott of US goods will:

*put a lot of POOR, WORKING CLASS americans outta work

* drive the then unemployed americans in the arms of the nationalists

* wont really affect the US superich whose companies have European, Asian, Latin American etc arms

* let off the hook all those MUSLIM rulers who take yankee dollar whilst trying to fill the heads of the people they rule over with religious rubbish!

BTW: was that a personal posting or the latest policy from the swp/mab peace & justice party?

Idiots

01.09.2003 17:29

It is so nice that an indymedia site can accept articles from a guy ( almared_alarabi@yahoo.com) with a pro-terrorism view. He can call all the fatwas he wants. But they are useless. We just laugh at those calls. There is a deep routed movement in the U.S. that our media doesn't cover. That "indymedia" doesn't cover. One that is strengthening the people of the U.S. into coming together for defense of all things American, especially the defense of our image. As a minority in the U.S., the left can only ignore it for so long. But there is more to it. Yes, more. The anti-American movement around the world has given birth to the feelings that Americans are becoming more on their own in the world. Not because of what weare doing in Afghanistan. Not because of what we are doing in Iraq. But because 9/11 made us more powerful and more united. The world expected (and even hoped) for the U.S. to weaken. But quite the opposite happened. And now we are at a crossroad today. There are many nations who say that the U.S. needs to repair their image in their country. But what about the other way around? Not many in the U.S. trust or even have good opinions of any country from Spain all the way to Pakistan. But no, you all are too good to try and mend relations with the U.S. You view Americans as the lazy and fat people that have no energy to do anything. Keep thinking that because you are just helping us by misinforming yourselves. Ignorance is blinding the world and they have no idea what the U.S. is all about.

Don't underestimate Americans. We don't run and bow down to those who are intent on hurting us and our image. The ball is in your court now. Choose the U.S. of the future that is now.
