Bush was a liberator not a warmonger!

03.10.2003 10:07

George Bush was in no way a warmonger. He didn't want war but knew that war was the only way to remove the threat posed by Saddam. Also the Iraqi people suffered terribly under Saddam's brutal rule which was one of the most evil in the world, the most evil regime since Pol Pots genocidal regime in Cambodia!

How can the British left who upload democracy, freedom, human rights and are opposed to tyranny have been against military action in Iraq to free the Iraqi people? The people of Iraq are now free, that is something to be thankful for!

Rockwell

There's definitely something wrong with you.

Hmmmm.....am I more likely to go along with Rockwell's uninformed, brainwashed opinion or agree with Nelson Mandela.

I think the choice is obvious.

George W Scum is very definitely a warmonger. He wanted war which is why they fabricated an excuse to pull the weapons inspectors out of Iraq. If he didn't want war, then why have the Americans been bombing Iraq since 1991? If we wasn't a warmonger and didn't want war, he could have stopped them bombing.

Iraqis are still suffering under American occupation, seeing as the soldiers shoot (unarmed civilians) first and dodge any questions later.

I will be thankful that the Iraqi people are free when they are actually free instead of being occupied by a foreign (and alien to their culture) power.

And I'd be obliged if someone could point me at this so-called 'evidence' that Saddam had links to Al-Qaeda. From everything I've read, Bush has closer links to Al-Qaeda and Bin Laden than Saddam was ever likely to.

ANYway...

03.10.2003 21:05

To get back to the point, avoiding trolls and other fuckwits...what we doing when he gets here? Cos I'm fucked if I want another tedious STWC dominated A to B demonstration of impotence. We need to ridicule the twisted cunt, as much as anything. So, suggestions to date have been around using the slogan "Monkee Go Home", while pelting the fuckpig with bananas. Even the gutter tabloids won't have much option other than to explain WHY.

Another dope slogan -"Come back when you're elected".

Anyone got any more ideas. C'mon - it's time for a carnival of utter fucking contempt.

Tube Francis

Fuckwit Francis like idiots

03.10.2003 23:48

There is organised campaigns being mounted and go join one of them instead of throwing bananas to be branded brick thrower by the tabloids!

If doing the usual direct action crap go do it properly instead of another anti-DSEi joke.
Watch out. This is not the time for ego wank. Do not spoil this one and do not give the CIA provocateurs the chance to spoil it.

I do not fancy being boxed up again. I hate the fucker so much to be prepared to bite my teeth and march with even the SWP.

Be creative

04.10.2003 13:43

Rockwell and his chums are just geting off on our reactions just ignorr them, they are the sort of people that go to chat rooms and blurb racist properganda.

Can we get something sorted.

Would you have objected to the liberation of France in 1944?

04.10.2003 14:05

Would you have objected to the liberation of France in 1944? If not they why did you object to the liberation of Iraq in 2003? OK so Iraq has not currently invaded any other country, but it has oppressed, murdered, tortured, terrorised its own people so doesn't that count as a reason for using military force to liberate its people?

By the way stop reading biased propaganda newspapers like the Miror, The Independent and the Guardian and read some unbiased newspapers instead and you might learn the facts about the world!

Rockwell

Liberation?

04.10.2003 14:18

In 1944, France was under occupation by a foreign power (Germany). The UK, US and others intervened on behalf of a country under occupation. Iraq, by contrast, was *not* under occupation when the US and UK invaded. So it's not really an appropriate comparison.

Had we, for example, intervened in the Israeli occupied territories to remove the Israeli forces illegally occupying parts of neighbouring countries, *that* would have been an act rather more similar to the liberation of France (although of course I'd much rather see that situation resolved through a proper peace process than foreign intervention on either side).

March with the SWP. Why not?

Ram's just another word for sheep, when all's said and done.

Wave your placards, march in the presecribed zone then fuck off home.

THAT'll learn the fuckpig!

More than one reason

06.10.2003 00:06

There is more than one reason why someone might want to voive objections to Bush's state visit other than just Iraq, for example Kyoto, Guantanemo, the WTO, capital punishment or whatever.

Maybe everyone in the UK could wear a black armband, wear a black ribbon, fly a black flag or wear balck clothes while he is in the country as a way of showing how they feel - even at home or at work.

Maybe MPs could boycott his address to the Commons/Lords? (or give him a slow handclap?)

What else is he doing? I mean, seriously, is there anyone in this country who *really* wants to see him? Where is he going to go? Is he simply going to sit in Buckingham Palace for three days, with a 400m trip to Westminster and back?

Maybe he'd be welcome on some of the USAF bases, but apart from that I can't really see anyone wanting him to visit surely?

TeeJay

Well, the SWP is the best standby I know of

06.10.2003 00:19

I have booked the hotel now.
Maybe there will be a convergence centre for this but judging by the irresponsible response to Cat's suggestions I would not be surprised if everything is left to the last minute and chaotic planning.

In case you did not know the mayor is hosting an event at the city hall for *all* peace seekers in the city hall . Bush fuck is not welcome.
What would be a good service to humanity is to find out as much as possible of the well planned events and publicise the fuck's visit far and wide.
I was amazed at the number of people who I have already told the news. Apathy is the status quo and people should be told.

Almost everyone hates Bush. I suspect even Rockwell. Just that they do not know it sometimes. IF told in the context of what this fuck manifestations are (climate change, oil, arms, war, injustice, oppression, the poodles master etc ....) then there will be a movement.

You lot are very misguided

06.10.2003 09:40

You lot are very misguided and niaeve. You don't understand that Britain and America are in Iraq now to help the Iraqi people to restore order and rebuild their country. Also Iraq did have a weapons of mass destruction programme read this:

David Kay UN weapons inspector says his Iraq Survey Group has uncovered evidence of banned activities which the United Nations and pre-war intelligence had not known about, including 24 clandestine laboratories and four missile programmes. These findings would have been headline news before the war, he said. In addition his team has uncovered a small vial of botulinum toxin, it is also looking for a similar vial of anthrax.

So there you have it, Iraq did have weapons of mass destruction after all and so the war was fully justified!

Rockwell

er, Botulinium Toxin

06.10.2003 10:07

"a small vial of botulinum toxin"

er, that'd be 'Botox' then. You know the poison women everywhere have all been queuing up to have injected into their foreheads since facelifts went out of fashion.

"it is also looking for a similar vial of anthrax"

Obviously the anthrax used in the US attacks is not an illegal WMD, since the investigation promptly ended when it was discovered to be from a US biowarfare lab. naughty naughty

cosmetic of mass destuction

We can humiliate Bush and embarrass B.liar!

06.10.2003 21:40

Everyone who opposed the war and still opposes the occupation against Iraq should make every effort to be in London on 19, 20, 21/11/03 or at least one of those days.

Just think of what we can achieve, Bush is visiting this country to deepen the so-called special relationship, we could destroy that special relationship by humiliating Bush and B.liar and embarrassing the queen - just say to yourselves we can fuck it!

Just think of all those in the US turning on their news channels to see huge demonstrations "greeting" their President and seeing how unpopular he really is in this country and the special relationship is just between Bush & B.liar, Bush's personal ratings are plummeting in the US, lets send them below zero and help make sure he doesn't win the next Presidential election.

Saddam was a mass murderer he had to be overthrown!

07.10.2003 15:49

What ever you say about Bush he was right to overthrow one of the biggest mass murderers in history and everyone should be glad of this. Tyrants who commit genocide should be stopped and brought to justice by any means necessary.

The oil conspiracy theory doesn't hold. It just makes you look stupid. For example the anti-war movement said the Afghan war was about oil, nothing to do with the fact that Afghanistan was the main base for Al Qaeda who had organised the flying into the World Trade Centre of two planes which had ended up killing nearly 3,000 people. Who is going to believe that crap. Of course the Afghan war was about fighting terrorism.

And then the anti-war movement says the war against Iraq was about oil. Highly unlikely when all it would take for BP, Texaco, and Shell to get their hands on Iraqi oil would have been the lifting of sanctions. No it was about the threat posed by rogue states who have nop respect for human rights or life getting their hands on weapons of mass destruction and being able to use those weapons to intimidate and threaten the rest of the world.

You should learn somethings: 1) Don't build a campaign based on conspiracy theories. Conspiracy theorists are seen as cranks by the general public.
2) Don't forget that in some cases the government might be right.
3) Don't be anti-everything just for the sake of appearing revolutionary.

Expat Yanks are pretty unimpressed too

24.10.2003 13:05

Bush is going to rue the day he ever decided to come over to London. I think he's in for a rude surprise when he discovers that the majority of the population of his closest ally think he's a complete disgrace.

As an expatriate American living in London, I think so too. I got so pissed off about Bush coming over here that I decided to start a website this week:
 http://expatsagainstbush.org/

The website is geared towards A) making us expat Yanks a visible presence in the anti-Bush protests and B) providing a bit of expat perspective on our disaster of a President.

He's going to get such a shellacking next month, I can barely wait.
