They seem to have forgotten that Saddam could hardly be classed as a "Radical Islamist"! Even the great bogey man Osama bin Laden hated Saddam’s guts despite the neocon’s best efforts to link the two. There is no evidence that "Al Qaeda" ever operated in Iraq prior to the attack, but thanks to Bush’s war I would not be surprised if half of Baghdad was sending off their CV’s to join the fight against the occupiers.
