Latuff has made some errors of judgement in the past, but to dismiss fingerprinting as 'not inconvenient' is either childishly naive or an outright lie.

Havign said that, the response by the Brazilian judge won't have much effect. Most semi-literate Yankees don't travel anyway, and the US citizens who do travel will either be business travellers who will not be at all inconvenienced by all this, or politically aware people who won't be put off despite being inconvienced.
