Tom Hurndall is dead

I have just had news from the hospital that Tom Hurndall has passed away. I will post a statement from the family on the Tom Hurndall website tomorrow morning.

I feel numb.

Leto...what can I say. It must be so difficult for you to face facts. The soldier who shot Tom has admitted to doing so knowing that he was an unarmed civilain.

The IDF originally found there was no case to answer but when pressed into an investigation concocted a report based on fabricated evidence of soldiers which again found found in favour of the IDF.

Only when pressure was applied to the Judge Advocate General to perform a military police enquiry did the truth come out and a guilty soldier and his accomplices in covering up his crime have now been indicted.

The IDF shoot civilians including chldren knowingly and they do so in the knowledge that it is unlikely they will ever be held accountable for their crimes.

An army doesn't act like this without orders. It is a deliberate policy. Israel is trying to murder it's way to it's Zionist dream while trying to pretend to the world it is a model democracy.

I can't even begin to imagine what it must be like for Tom's family. I can only start from thinking about my own daughter who is 17. Tom was shot because he cared enough about other people's kids to go out there and make words into actions.
