yes , it all seems a little strange

we have Bush and Cheney giving 911
statements in complete secrecy
with no transcripts

and then these photos are leaked

They appear to have been set up to gaud 'terrorists'

but I think they may be a ruse

[although they are real]

i mean. did you see the cousin of chip
[cant remember surname one of the torturers]

on Channel 4 news...saying how it was all a CIA special op
and how some of the tortured have been killed and then smuggled out
in an ambulance with a fake drip????

why would they do that?

reporter Mazen dana was reportedly killed because
he witnessed mass burials in the desert...and was going to
blow it wide open...

this is pure speculation

Earthquake watch in low gear
No additional precautions after forecast

By Troy Anderson
Staff Writer

While some experts find credible a Russian seismologist's prediction that a major earthquake will rock the Mojave Desert by Sept. 5, state and local governments are taking no additional precautions.

Instead, they encourage residents to be ready -- in case the prediction of 82-year-old UCLA seismologist Vladimir Keilis-Borok comes true.

Despite the fact he successfully predicted the magnitude-6.5 San Simeon Earthquake on Dec. 22 and the magnitude-8.1 Hokkaido, Japan earthquake of Sept. 25, scientists with the California Earthquake Prediction Evaluation Council concluded that Keilis-Borok's most recent revelation does not rise to the level of requiring action.

"They are watching carefully to see if the predicted earthquake happens, but at this point they are not willing to take any steps for public safety," said John Vidale, a colleague of Keilis-Borok and interim director of the Institute of Geophysics and Planetary Physics at the University of California, Los Angeles.

Keilis-Borok is recommending that officials lower the water level in dams and hold training exercises at hospitals and with local police and fire departments.

Rich Eisner, manager of the state's Earthquake Preparedness Program, said the council believes Keilis-Borok's research is promising but not yet precise enough to be an earthquake prediction model.

"You can understand that over the last 30 to 40 years, we've had earthquake predictions from everyone, from Nostradamus to Eban Browning to people who count missing cats," Eisner said. "The assessment of the scientists is that they'd like a track record of predicting 10 earthquakes before his methodology is used to determine government decision making."

Keilis-Borok has given 50-50 odds to his prediction that a magnitude 6.4 or larger earthquake will occur in a 12,440-square-mile area of the southeastern portion of the Mojave Desert by Sept. 5.

In a recent report on the prediction, Lucy Jones, scientist-in-charge of the U.S. Geological Survey, said Keilis-Borok's prediction is based on statistical analysis of recorded small earthquakes.

"The two successful predictions suggest that this technique may have some validity, but we are still looking at too small a sample to be able to make any definitive statements," Jones said.

The prediction has been gaining credibility among the wider scientific community since Keilis-Borok reported it in January, shortly before the 10th anniversary of the Northridge Earthquake.

"We've been telling people since the mid-1980s that the southern San Andreas Fault is the most likely section to rupture in what we call the 'Big One,"' said Ken Hudnut, a U.S. Geological Survey geophysicist at California Institute of Technology in Pasadena.

In the worst-case scenario, Hudnut said, the fault could rupture in a 7.8 magnitude earthquake from the Salton Sea to San Bernardino.

"The damage would be the most severe in the Inland Empire, but extending into the metropolitan Los Angeles area there would be extensive damage," Hudnut said.

The public can access various potential damage scenarios on the survey's Web site at  http://pasadena.wr.usgs.gov/.

Coincidently, the prediction comes as NBC is promoting "10.5," a four-hour TV miniseries on a West Coast mega-quake, scheduled to air May 2 and 3.

Although experts say the premise is unrealistic and there is no scientific basis for the story line, government officials view the miniseries as an opportunity to keep the public prepared.

"We see this as an opportunity to stress the importance of being prepared for earthquakes and other hazards," Los Angeles County Chief Administrative Officer David Janssen wrote in a memo earlier this week to the Board of Supervisors.

Trapped cavers to stay that way
Britons turn down Mexican offer to stage a rescue; will wait out flooding.

Five off-duty British military personnel and their guide, trapped in a flooded cave for six days, refused a rescue offer by Mexican authorities and will stick to their underground campsite until the water further recedes, a British military spokeswoman said Tuesday.  http://www.mysanantonio.com/news/mexico/stories/MYSA24.13A.NZ.State.british_cavers.17272739.html

Trapped cavers emerge to a public relations disaster

The expedition initially turned down offers of help from Mexican emergency workers.

Mexico viewed the refusal of help as a slight, and television commentators were asking: "What have the British got to hide down there?"

Some Mexican commentators claimed the British were secretly prospecting for uranium - a confusion thought to have arisen because the cavers were monitoring radon in the subterranean tunnels to check safety levels. Radon gas is produced by the decay of uranium.

The cavers had camped on a five-metre ledge above a fast-flowing underground river and had enough food to last until the weekend. Rescue divers had to swim and walk through a series of caves to reach the trapped men.

could a bomb be used to trigger san andreas fault line disater...
causing a chain reaction up through west coast

Or as I remember one of the canary islands volcanoes off the coast of Africa could be 'set off'
the sliding of debris into the sea would cause a tidal wave which would wipe out the entire east coast...

Bomb patsys already set up? in Africa
[Bush needs to get to Africa in the war on terror, troops are training now in western sahara]

TWO Lusaka residents who were caught with bomb grade Uranium, Francis Changufu and Andrew Milambo, were yesterday charged with espionage.

This is a matter in which Changufu of plot 287 Ibex Hill and Milambo, 40, both businessmen are charged with the possession of Uranium substance, which is used to make bombs under section 3(d) of the state security Act

7th November

Captain Wardrobe

And then

01.05.2004 08:54

... there is the possibility of 'the big one' setting of yellowstone national park - which is well overdue to blow in big style, and then some - which will cover 5/6ths of the usa with mile deep lava!

Nature we can't fight, but the possibilities of a pre-election 'shot in the arm' in the fight against terra are all to real. It is well within their mode of operation, their means and their motivation.

We are entering the most dangerous trip around our sun for many millenia - the very least we can do is to love each other more harder better ...
