Aleksander Kwasniewski has sent Poland's troops into Iraq, has paid many a
visit to Washington to see his buddy Dubya, and kiss his arse, and has signed
Poland up to NATO. Poland also has some of Europe's most repressive
legislation concerning Abortion rights. However, Aleksander Kwasniewski is
cheesed off about being lied to concerning WMD, and is considering withdrawing
troops next year.

I think he needs a little 'encouraging' about withdrawing troops. If Poland
would take Spain's lead of withdrawing troops, then hopefully we may see a
cascade effect, leaving Bliar and Bush, sad losers, left in the chaos and
carnage they made in Iraq.

Please come along at 4PM, wed 5th May, Taviton St (just off of Gordon Square) nearest tubes Euston, Euston Sq

As many people as possible should come to this!!

03.05.2004 15:55

Its crucial that people come and oppose Kwasniewski. Poland isnt just another multinational divisional force, it controls a third of Iraq!! Its a major partner in the Occupation and oversees 19 (or with Honduras and Spain out, now 17) multinational divisional forces and controls 5 provinces including Najaf where major combat is expected toon. Marek Belka, former finance minister of Poland is now a chief adviser to the occupation on bringing in the free market shock therapy which Poland underwent in 1991 to Iraq. Poland also signed a military agreement with the US in 2002 which granted it 48 F16 figher jets and will see the first US military base built on Polish soil in the next few years. Poland is the largest western front of Fortress Europe too, its border with Germany was already the most policed border on the planet before accession a few days ago. Poland also signed a free trade agreement with Israel in 1997 plus a recent military trade agreement too. Poland is a big fish in Fortres Europe and the USA's best EU friend. The Polish military is also involved in the occupation of Afghanistan, having sent over 200 sappers and biological warfare experts.

The withdrawal of Polish troops would be a serious blow to the occupation, and we should make every effort to pressurise the Polish government to get out of Iraq.

BANNER IDEAS: in Polish

WYNOCHA Z IRAKU!! - GET OUT OF IRAQ!!

USA, UK I POLSKA - PARTNERZY W PRZEDSTEPCTWACH PRZECIWKO LUDZKOSCI - USA, UK AND POLAND - PARTNERS IN CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY

WOLNOSC DLA IRAK! WOLNOSC DLA POLSKI! - FREEDOM FOR IRAQ! FREEDOM FOR POLAND!

KONIEC Z OKUPACJA IRAKU - END THE OCCUPATION OF IRAQ (the A at the end of OKUPACJA must have a small tail on the end of the last leg to the right)

Solidarity

I agree!

I agree, people need to recognise the wannabe superpower which Poland wants to be and the transgressions and violations it is commiting to reach the levels of power it wants to reach. A Polish withdrawal from the Occupation would greatly empower Iraqi people to resist and reclaim their country.

Also, I think that US, UK I POLSKA - PARTERZY W ZBRODNIACH PRZECIWKO LUDZKOSCI is better than using the word 'PRZESTEPSTWACH' Zbrodnia is more suited to kind of dirty, low-down crimes. But thanks for the tips anyway, inspiring and useful.

And what about the WEF repression!!??

03.05.2004 16:30

There were armoured personel carriers following known activists in the streets of warsaw at the time of the counter summit against the World Economic Forum!! Meeting spaces were closed down, activists homes were searched, activists were intimidated, building owners were forced to cancel hosting anti WEF events. I think a lot of the news on this got lost in the build-up to mayday in Ireland but it was really serious, for many of us, it brought back nightmares are parents experienced under the Soviet empire with the martial law and tanks in the streets.

Kwasniewski is a crook and a liar and needs confrontation!

Solidarity with Polish anti-globalisation activists!
Solidarity with the Iraqi People Fighting the Occupation!
Victory to the Intifada!

In Polish: 'SOLIDARNOSC Z RUCHEM ODPORU IRAKCZYCKIM' - Solidarity with the Iraqi resistance movement

SOLIDARNOSC Z INTIFADA W IRAKU!! - Solidarity with the Intifada in Iraq!!
