Anti-Americanism

Sydney Activist | 30.05.2004 01:31 | Analysis | Anti-militarism | Globalisation

Crazed rantings about the state of the world; in particular my thoughts about the increasing amount of anti-American sentiment now spreading across the planet.

I'm not sure if any of you in the US have noticed, but anti-American sentiment is spreading thick and fast amongst the people of the planet. It feels like it's out of control, spiralling faster and faster in a frenzied whirlpool while the American leadership seems to do everything it possibly can to make the situation worse.

Whilst mostly innocent Iraqi kids are being tortured to death by US troops, soldiers of fortunes and their allies, I took a peep at FoxNews to find Bush congratulating troops from past wars for "saving the world" from fascism.

Whilst Diebold close-sources it's proven-to-be-rigged voting machines, it gives money to the Bush team's further convincing the people of the world that there is no way to beat back Bush's America except through violent means.

With the cat out of the bag about Bush/Cheney/Rumseld telling blatant lies in order to go to war against Iraq, they've found another scapegoat in Chalabai and can be seen to wash the blood of their hands. Oh yes, Chalabai will be blamed, Iran will be blamed and will probably be attacked next. This is a war for "full spectrum dominance".

It seems almost deliberate that the world's media is slowly releasing a couple of pictures of US torturers every day (less than this in the United States). That way the hatred for the US is allowed to build up and up. It's crazy but it's there. The world's media outlets won't let this rest and it feels like chilli peppers being rubbed into an open wound. Two Australians were detained by the US in Cuba and one of them is said to have been tortured by US troops.

The people of the world (e.g. in iran/palestine/iraq/afghanistan) have been trying to hold up white flags and say "we don't want no fight" but the flags have been hidden from the US citizens who are fed a few sounds bytes of people expressing their utter outrage. Well of course the white flags will come down. As much as the people want to be left alone, they're not going to idly sit back and watch their worlds be destroyed by the US military but don't you dare be a fucker and feign that they started it. Do some research on US foreign policy over the past 59 years.

Nobody outside America believes those incidents of torture in Iraq were one-off ignorant soldiers acting alone. Near everybody outside America knows that the planes that flew into the world trade centre had a proverbial "US Foreign policy: Return To sender" written down the side. Your president is a very dangerous psychotic corrupt oil baron. And gods help us, his main rival is busy trying to prove he is a better war-hero.

I'm depressed and ranting.

C.I.A. torture

30.05.2004 09:41

The torture that has been exposed in Iraq is standard CIA torture that has been practised all over the world, in all the client states in Africa, Asia, South/ Central America and Southern Europe, for much of last century. It is also going on in Afghanistan but the world seems uninterested in Afghanistan now. Most of the world is familiar with the techniques, though a few new methods have been added to the repertoire. Much of the world has lived in fear of this torture for a long time and many people all over the world have been on the receiving end. The difference is that technology has crept up on the perpetrators and enabled it to be exposed graphically. This has been a rude awakening for those sleepwalking though life in the 'civilized' west.

Torture is in Vogue

What a generous gesture from The President, demolishing "Abu Grub" to replace it with a larger, more modern facility where only the finest torture methods will be approved. On a par with... say, Uzbekistan. No more makeshift hoods from girl's panties, but proper hessian bags, stitched by refugee kids in the Congo, who are not yet employed as sex slaves for the UN peacekeepers. Before long, brand spanking new prisons will be springing up all over Iraq, as a real democracy should... like in Britain, or America who holds the record for the most inmates incarcerated for petty crime.

Democracies will soon spread across the 'uncivilized' world, triumphantly raising the Jolly Roger on the mass graves of 'mini-nuke' victims, bringing their own special brand of failing health care, education and transport systems from representatives accountable to no-one, except the CIA; until all peoples are corralled under the same Satanic Standard in a Global Government, from the cradle to the gulag. Our planetary society has been hijacked by psychopaths whose goal is to deny us peace by any means neccessary. They are wearing us down by assaulting our sensibilities first, and then our bodies.

American foreign policy is bad...no shit

All states kill people thats what states do, for the most part the US the UK, Australia and other imperialist powers rely on the national bourgeoisie within the smaller states to further their ends.

It depresses me deeply that someone thought that people really needed to read a stupid anti-american post like this.

the influence of drugs

After an amazing night of ecstacy and mushrooms, we met two american tourists on the tube. This quickly turned into a great conversation and enjoyment. Everyone else on the tube could tell we were tripping, but these tourists loving the experience of being somewhere new with different people and exciting sights and sounds either couldn't tell or didn't say. They were two of the nicest people I've met in ages and came from a small town in the middle of nowhere in the States. Suffice to say I hate Bush, I'm against the American government (as well as most governments), but when you meet people like this you simply can't listen to anti-americanism, which is as bad as any form of prejudice. Fuck Bush and Blair, don't let them create more unecessary hatred for us to overcome!

American hatred...

31.05.2004 20:47

I too have some really cool American friends (as well as some extremely dodgy American relatives). I can only hope that they know what I mean when I say that I fucking hate Americans. Of course I don't hate all Americans but I think that the self-image which America promotes of itself is what people hate more than anything. Curiously, it is that same self image which attracts the least favourite of my fellow countrymen and women.

But then, if you are talking about global domination, it isn't the Americans per se that we need to worry about is it...

We Interrupt This Empire

31.05.2004 21:11

...and if anybody is under the impression that America was united behind the Illuminati escapade in Iraq they should make every effort to see 'We Interrupt This Empire' filmed almost entirely in San Francisco at the outbreak of the war.

pointless!!

01.06.2004 01:07

I still think if your going to spend time putting posts on here then thewy should be good and if they aren't then they should be criticised. Ths is a pointless post, its wrong and it says nothing we haven't heard far too many times already.

One of the reasons why people are pro-bush blair...or whatever you are trying to say, is possibly because of people talking anti-american crap

After a night of mushrooms and ecstasy a man can fall in love with Hitler, Bush Blair and all the rest of the great fascist dictators of the world. So this is the question I ask you.

How can you be sure that the cute american couple you saw and fell in love with wasn't bush and Blair?
