Labours shocking attack on democracy

Richard Scott | 18.07.2004 17:45

Labour - A thorn in the side of democracy.

More news is emerging about the details of the schemes hatched by the Labour Government some months ago in order to destroy a rival political party, and by denying a voice to a significant sector of the electorate is thereby prepared to savage what remains of the due democratic process.

Newspaper blackmailed bank

The latest attack against the patriots who vote and support the British National Party can yesterday (16th July) after Barclay's Bank, one of the leading High Street British banks were given an ultimatum by a national media operation. The Trinity Mirror Group (TMG) has, we learn been putting considerable pressure on Barclay's for over two months part of which included a report in the one of the TMG's titles; "Sunday People" (30/05/04) that the BNP held a number of accounts with Barclay's Bank PLC.

The Labour supporting newspaper group has since been using its financial and media muscle to basically blackmail Barclay's into pulling the plug on the BNP accounts. There is no suggestion from Barclay's that any BNP funds have been used illegally or inappropriately as all the party accounts are strictly scrutinised by the Electoral Commission. Barclay's have decided simply for "commercial" reasons that they would prefer to no longer have the BNP as a customer rather than face a TMG-led boycott in the same way that the Bank was vilified in the 1970 and 80s.

From protestor to MP, Hain's hatred towards Britain remains

Barclay's came under relentless pressure for operating in South Africa during a time when Marxists, including one Mr. Peter Hain, were calling for a boycott of businesses which were operating in that country. Circumstances have of course changed and whereas in the 70s and 80s the former leader of the "Young Liberals" and his gaggle of student agitators were digging up cricket pitches and organising protests outside rugby stadia, twenty years on, this founder member of the violent Anti-Nazi League is now well positioned to call the tune from his role as Leader of the House of Commons.

BNP financial information leaked

The TMG story started in the middle of May when we received the news from the party's former National Treasurer John Brayshaw that his family had been hounded by journalists from the Sunday People. The "defenders of democracy" from the press repeatedly harassed Mr. Brayshaw's elderly parents at their home in North Yorkshire rather than speaking to Mr. Brayshaw directly. "People" reporters claimed that they didn't have any contact details for him even though they can clearly be found on the party's website and they have the full details of the party's press officer should they wish to interview party officers. They repeatedly and aggressively questioned Mr. Brayshaw's mother who is caring for her husband who is suffering with Alzheimer's about the party's bank accounts. Clearly Mrs. Brayshaw has no knowledge of party internal matters but this didn't stop their intimidation tactics aimed at Mr. Brayshaw's work.

Only until Mr. Brayshaw arrived home after a number of frantic phone calls did they leave but first attempted to accost Mr. Brayshaw with a suited thug who accompanied the press reporters. Mr. Brayshaw contacted the newspaper's offices and was informed that the "Sunday People" had obtained the bank account details of one of the party's bankers and intended to run a story in the coming Sunday edition to force the British National Party accounts to be closed because they claimed it was "unethical" for any bank to allow an organisation like the BNP to have bank accounts.

Leak investigated by Barclay's

Mr. Brayshaw then contacted the party bankers in question and was assured that a criminal investigation would be launched and they had no problem with the party having accounts with them as we are a legal political party. As well as this, the Electoral Commission have been informed that now the party can not guarantee compliance with the PPERA 2000 as the Sunday People now has access to some of the party's bank accounts and any number of breaches could take place due to these illegal actions. We understand the party's legal dept. is considering action when the courts resume on Monday (19th) and will be contacting the North Yorkshire Police fraud and economics crimes division shortly.

This weekend's developments

Following the news that Barclay's Bank had on Friday evening at 1700hrs frozen some but not all accounts held by the BNP, the new National Treasurer, John Walker gave the following statement "This is an outrage in a country that calls itself democratic".

He added "..if we are forced not to have bank accounts we will run our activities with cash. We are the most compliant political party under the PPERA 2000, the Electoral Commission have already announced this. If the press and their masters in government wish to make it harder for themselves to monitor our work it is up to them. We have nothing to hide, unlike the other parties."

Future action expected

In addition to the pressure put upon Barclay's we are reliably informed from well-positioned sources that we should be prepared for the same tactics to be used against other High Street banks with whom the BNP holds accounts. Quite simply if the BNP is forced into a situation where no UK bank will deal with the party the BNP will have to cease as a political party which fights elections. The Electoral Commission, a supposedly independent executive agency which exists to ensure "fair and honest elections" will have no trouble using their force in preventing the BNP from operating. In those circumstances the BNP leadership will have to make a stark choice about the future of the patriotic nationalist movement in Britain. Amongst the choices being considered include:

a. Undertaking a number of expensive legal actions against the TMG for illegally obtaining bank documents and seeking redress in the courts. This is expensive, a lengthy procedure and the party has no absolute guarantee of winning.

b. Closing down the political party known as the BNP and reforming with a new constitution and new name.

c. Moving all accounts offshore and continuing to function as a political lobby type organisation but whose presence in elections would be illegal.

BBC/Labour Party infiltration

The blackmail of Barclay's comes hot on the heels of the long planned BBC "expose" which was conducted with the Labour Party and a quasi-legal organisation called "Searchlight Magazine"; a small media operation based in central London which is headed by an unsavoury convicted burglar, former Communist Party member Gerry Gable who has links with a London-based rent-boy paedophile ring. The programme alleged a number of criminal activities undertaken by a few individuals within one branch of the BNP which at the time was under the control of a Labour Party/Searchlight mole. BNP Leader Nick Griffin delivers a strong rebuttal against the allegations online at the following location.

There is no doubt that the sustained attacks against a rapidly growing legitimate political party by the forces of the media and the Blairite Regime is a fundamental assault on democracy itself. If anyone doubts that the Labour Party are engaging in a dirty underhanded war against democracy, ask yourself this simple question.

Challenge to the BBC/Labour

If the policies of the BNP are so "bad", so "out of place" and "unacceptable" in a modern multi-cultural society why cannot the BNP be simply dismissed in one evening? All it would take is a special BBC programme where spokesmen from the Labour Regime and a corresponding number of representatives from the BNP debated live in front of an audience randomly selected from the electorate as opposed to the hand-picked carefully audiences that are used in "Any Questions" with one of the BBC's finest front men or women. All it would take is an hour of the BBC's time and instead of wasting time. It would be a much more useful way of spending taxpayers' and licence payers' money.

So, "come on Labour", "come on BBC", if the growing support base for the BNP is unfounded in its concerns about the future of Britain, unfounded in its concerns about the growing presence of the "religion of peace", unfounded in its concerns about the growing influence of Europe on British daily activities, unfounded in its concerns about the survival of the British way of life then let's have an honest debate and let Labour tell us once and for all, that there is no need to worry about the future of Britain and the British way of life. That is all we need to be told!
