REFORMING THE TRANSNATIONAL CORPORATIONS; AN ASTONISHING NEW APPROACH.

Robert Searle. | 28.07.2004 20:00 | Globalisation | Indymedia | Social Struggles | World

The following article is concerned with Transfinancial Economics, or the Non-Taxation Revolution, and how it could fully reform the Transnational Corporations, or TNCs. What is about to be revealed may prove to be suprising to say the least. However, it is perfectly possible, and practical.

Indymedia was sent an article about the Non-Taxation Revolution, or Transfinancial Economics, or TFE.This was duly published. It is concerned with the concept that new money can be responsibly created to fund governmental programmes, and to a large extent NGOs without raising taxes, or indeed, fundraising. Though ofcourse there is more than enough money in the world to change it the problem lies with legal access to it especially when there is a need. Thus, TFE goes beyond the limitations of redistribution, and maximises the power of money to do good. As for inflation this can be controlled electronically by computers. More about this can be found in my internet paper by using google, and keying in the search word Non-Taxation Revolution which can be traced to the XAT community website. Essentially, TFE is "work in progress", and has yet, to be fully developed. In the meantime, comments are always welcome from anyone.
Anyway, our concern here is the gargantuan power of the Transnational Corporations, or TNCs. Is it at all possible to seriously reform them into something more ethical, and environmentally friendly? One way is to try to get all governments to simultaneously pass legislation to regulate their activities. But, is this really likely, and will more, and more protests against them make any REAL difference? Sadly, the answer is probably no. All though is not lost. TFE may well hold the key to this problem, and this is explained in one of the sections of my internet paper entitled the Non-Taxation Revolution:-

"...Let us suppose at least one "rich" country in the world voted its first government to introduce a policy of Non-Taxation. What would this mean to the TNCs? The answer everything. Special international NGOs with, or without the support of government would set themselves up, and be headed by respected ethical businessmen, and women. Their mission would be nothing less than to achieve full reform of the TNCs using a variety of business tactics notably friendly, or hostile takeover bids. In other words, fight capitalism with capitalism! Such "special" international corporate reform NGOs can command billions, and billions of pounds in new money created by the Grant Generating Banks. Ofcourse, such finance carefully authorised would be legal tender, and indeed, be convertable into other currencies. In effect, the TNCs would have met their match at long last, and ultimately reformed, and probably broken up into smaller businesses. Any compensation to shareholders would automatically be met..."

In the next section from the internet paper reference is made to auto-profit companies. These are normally set up for humanitarian, or environmental purposes especially where there is little, or no commercial incentives. In effect, the profits from the work they do is actually self-created by an independant public body. Reference also in the following extract from my internet paper is made to special environmental NGOs. These could be regarded as non-profit organisations funded in part, or in full probably by the Grant Generating banks. This has profound importance for humanity as we shall now see...

"...Another aspect of the TNCs is the woeful damage, and destruction of the environment for greed, and profit. For example, huge tracts of land have suffered deforrestation, and rivers have been poisoned by dangerous factory chemicals. With TFE where neccessary special environmental NGOs, and also auto-profit companies would be able to repair the damage, and thus, rectify the situation by some means, or other. Ideally, the TNCs should be made to pay for any damage, and destruction of the environment. With the special international corporate reform NGOs discussed earlier there would be continous legal battles on this, and indeed other issues simply because they would have the money to do so unlike before. This, along with what has already been said, would be a quantum leap for social, and economic justice....."
