Follow on from London protest

Henry | 16.09.2004 13:18

What next ?

Following the actions yesterday in Parliment Square the activist community may wish to know what is coming up next.

Some 15,000 were in the Square yesterday which considering it was mid-week is a remarkable number but this is just the beginning. At least 20 more central London events are planned before the end of the year with 10 of these at weekends where the numbers are expected to be much, much higher.

Following the example of others a number of "visits" to individuals promoting a ban are expected. These will include pro-ban MP's (four were visited yesterday), officers of the League Against Cruel Sports at their homes, Hunt Sab offices and organisations who have failed to support Hunting despite deriving income from it.

This attack on the rights of Country people by an envious, scared government that should be dealing with other more important issues is a disgrace and will be resisted.

Even if you don't support Hunting (and we can easily illustrate why you should) support us as we show how the government is using the Hunting legislation to detract attention from the real issues facing the British people.

The Hunting community is resolute, well financed and committed. Blair may well try to intimidate us with strong Police tactics (hitting 16 year girls on the head for example) but he will not win.

Join us, support Country people, ignore the ignorant who will try and tell you that Hunting is only practised by "toffs", come to a Hunt and meet the ordinary working class people who are having their lives destroyed by this legislation.

Learn the truth.

Henry

Cruelty is not a right.

'The rights of countryside people...'

You do not represent the people of the countryside. You are a tiny minority.
You do not have the right to seek pleasure from extreme cruelty. Your vicious
pastime is on the way out. Get over it.

Squire John England

Henry VIII - Off with his head

16.09.2004 13:53

1, Henry. Off weith your troll-head.
The land is ours - and has been stolen by those horsey maggots - historically by force. Funny your Cromwell was anothe lanowning maggot.
2.Yesterday's protest had nothing to do with closing down post offices or 'peasants'etc and everything to do with animal cruelty and the sport of the redneck rich and their lackeys who they can pay to take the day off to be cannon fodder.
3.The countryside needs reform from capitalist agrikill - revolution preferably.
4.Poor farmers are being exploited by the Countryside alliance and its own ridiculous agenda.
5. Roundheads (business class) vs Cavaliers (toffs)vs the New Levellers(thats the rest of us - rural poor, factory workers, labourers, cleaners, waiters, cooks, unemployed steel, textile, coal workers, etc.)perhaps eh?

Freeborn John ( also from the country )

Such a non issue

16.09.2004 14:08

15,000!! which hat did you pull that number from?

I didn't see anything like 15,000 !

5,000 yeah, but I've seen more people than that at and ilegal party.

Hunting is a non issue. The only issue is why democracy has failed and the
minority who take part in this outdated practise have managed to avoid a
ban for so long.

Nice to see the hypocrisy of the pro-hunt people being revealed with what are blatent threats of indimidation and ilegal acts being hurled around while in the past they have been so quick to complain about the ilegal and 'violent' behavior of hunt sabs.

Attack on 'Rights' - Are You Kidding!

16.09.2004 14:15

I cant believe you are trying to recruit people to your campaign by claiming Blair is using then ban as a distraction from other problems. Your protests do the distacting, along with heaps of other bullshit news.

Is this really what some toffs and even sadder wanabe toffs really care about: "This attack on the rights of Country people". It's not a right to make sport out of tearing a fox to shred, it's degenerate outrage gone mad.

Can't you get your kicks by riding around without the savage ritualistic murder of animals, and find something more worthy to protest about.

H.

Rip Henry's Head off.

16.09.2004 14:26

I think you get pleasure out of a fox being ripped to shreds Henry. And it should stop now.
And I for one would like to see the fox rip you to shreds and then hear what you have to say.

H.

Countryside 'Alliance' screws the countryside and its population

16.09.2004 14:40

The countryside alliance is a single issue pro-hunting group that seeks legitimacy by purporting to speak for more genuine rural issues too - despite the fact its leadership are heavily involved in accelerating rural decay.
