In the meantime we are personally going to visit the deputy leader of Birmingham City Council to ask him to defer the eviction to a more reasonable time frame. No senior councillors have been available for comment over the phone or through email this morning. The Bailiffs who have been available to talk over the phone say they can be instructed by Hari Toor or senior Councillors to stop the eviction tomorrow if they are contacted this afternoon.

Please contact the following people as quickly as possible to defer the eviction to a more reasonable date.

Councillors Whitby, Hemming, Godfrey Holder and Mr. Toor have the authority to contact the bailiffs before 5:00pm today to defer the eviction and negotiate with us a suitable timeframe to leave the building.

We cannot emphasise enough that this eviction will displace at least 3 technically homeless people back on the streets. They have not been given enough time to get their possessions together to move out. Let's hope Birmingham City Council can avert it's decision to evict homeless people back onto the streets.
