WHO FRAMED MARGARET HASSAN ?

the Foreign Press Foundation | 25.10.2004 15:55 | Analysis | Social Struggles

Commanders of five separate guerrilla groups in Fallujah said they were not holding Mrs Hassan and had seen no evidence that Abu Musab al-Zarqawi's organisation had kidnapped her.

WHO FRAMED MARGARET HASSAN ?

Three days ago, journalist Kurt Nimmo wrote about the 'strange kidnapping' of Care's Margaret Hassan 'that it might well be a concerted CIA/MOSSAD operation'. And on the ground in Iraq this is more and more confirmed.

CIA-Mossad False Flag ?

Comment in the Independent: "The resistance did not kidnap her because this would have left a bad impression of the resistance in the world

Kurt Nimmo wrote this: "CIA-Mossad False Flag Terrorists Threaten to Kill Margaret Hassan" - It’s now obvious. Either the resistance in Iraq is so stupid they can’t put their shoes on in the morning without help or the people who kidnapped Hassan work for the CIA and Mossad.

Kidnapping and beheading contractors is one thing. But kidnapping and beheading Margaret Hassan, who has selflessly dedicated years of her life to help impoverished Iraqis, will be quite another. Such a brutal and heartless act will send the intended message: the Iraqi resistance is comprised of monsters and serial murderers—and there can be no response other than wiping them from the face of the earth.

Hassan’s kidnapping is preparing the way for the Fallujahization of Iraq after Bush is re-appointed or Kerry is elected—massive, unremitting, and terrible mass murder of all who resist the occupation, including women, children, and old people." [andend]

Today in the Independent - UK - are comments by resistance people in Iraq and others: "This woman works for a humanitarian organisation. She should not have been kidnapped," the emir, or commander, of one group of Iraqi insurgents in Fallujah told Reuters reporters.

"She had been living in Iraq for 30 years and she was a humanitarian. The resistance did not kidnap her because this would have left a bad impression of the resistance in the world," he added.

Commanders of five separate guerrilla groups in Fallujah said they were not holding Mrs Hassan and had seen no evidence that Abu Musab al-Zarqawi's organisation had kidnapped her."

The text of the article, however carefully phrased, makes quite clear that a faked kidnapping by the CIA/MOSSAD or some other brand of 'deadly spooks', is very likely, and shouldn't surprise anybody.

Just ask: "Who Profits" ?

In the Independent story by journalist James Sturcke, published today, he headlines the case: "Rebel militias deny holding British aid worker Hassan". Since he is a British journalist in wartime, he has to take the wartime censorship into account, the D-Notice by the Blair government and the Ministry of Defence, which 'guides' the British media, including the warmongering BBC:  http://tinyurl.com/6td3d

Anyhow: this is what's in the Independent today: "Confusion surrounded the fate of the Iraq aid worker Margaret Hassan last night, after main rebel groups denied being involved with her kidnap. Insurgents in Fallujah condemned the abduction of the charity chief who was snatched by an armed gang in Baghdad six days ago. Despite making a video of the hostage in captivity, the kidnappers have not been pictured or made any claim of responsibility.

The statement by the Fallujah group came a day after the husband of Irish-born Mrs. Hassan made an plea for her release on an Arabic TV station.

Commanders of five separate guerrilla groups in Fallujah said they were not holding Mrs Hassan and had seen no evidence that Abu Musab al-Zarqawi's organisation had kidnapped her.

The US military and Iraqi government officials say Fallujah is a base for foreign militants loyal to Zarqawi, a Jordanian whose group has claimed responsibility for kidnappings and murders, including that of British hostage Ken Bigley. [Zarqawi may have existed, but now is said to be a US 'spook creation']

Mrs Hassan, who worked in Iraq for the aid agency Care International and holds British and Iraqi citizenship, was seized on Tuesday. She appeared on a video on Arabic al-Jazeera television on Friday making a tearful plea for her life. On Saturday, her husband Tahseen Ali Hassan begged for her to be freed "in the name of Islam", as he appeared on another station, al-Arabiya.

"It hurts to watch my wife cry," he said. "This scene has saddened and worried her friends and loved ones. I plead with you, in the name of Islam and Arabism - while we are in the most sacred Islamic month - that my wife and beloved return to me."

Charity Care International has also pleaded for Mrs Hassan to be freed in a statement read on al-Jazeera by the organisation's secretary general, Denis Caillaux. He said she was dedicated to the Iraqi people and added: "She is a naturalised Iraqi citizen and always holds the people of Iraq in her heart."

Yesterday, the Foreign Office refused to be drawn on a Sunday newspaper report that British security officials were trying to find the intermediary who established contact with the captors of Ken Bigley during his kidnap ordeal.

It was claimed they want to ascertain if she is being held by the group which seized and eventually killed Mr Bigley.

The report also said Prime Minister Tony Blair and Foreign Secretary Jack Straw [ another one of those warcriminals - HR] had been asked to take a back seat in appeals for her release with Care International taking the lead.

A Foreign Office spokesman would only reiterate that efforts were continuing on her behalf, saying: "We are working closely with the Iraqi authorities to secure Margaret's release."

Mrs Hassan, who was born in Dublin, appeared in a video shown on al-Jazeera on Friday.

She looked tired and distraught in the video as she called on Tony Blair to pull out of Iraq and not to send troops to Baghdad. [andend]

They're all false flag

25.10.2004 21:53

The kidnap and beheading victims have all been freelancers or representatives of minor countries, rather than the employees
of major Halliburton controlled organisations
Perhaps with the exception of the guys hung from the bridge which initiated the last Falluja massacre
Al Zarqawi and his minions are without a doubt the fabrications or tools of the cia/mossad type agencies, repeatedly producing bloodless hidden and blurred videos
Perhaps none of their stringers were game for this one and they had to do the deed without artifact
No-one in their right mind would own up to this one and it could have only been enacted by those with the most to gain
Proof perfect of the involvement of western intelligence

why the mossad?

25.10.2004 22:37

why the mossad? ok with the CIA but why the mossad? why not the MI5?
why is it allways israel who gets the blame? how could an israeli agent even enter iraq? anything in the world can theoretically be blamed on the mossad.
I think we should get back into the habit of considering wild allegations made against the mossad concerning things that don't occur in israel and without any proof or clue ANTISEMITIC. yes antisemitic. I know you don't like the word, but so it is

end the occupation

There is proof. Seymour Hersh, award winning investigative journalist, stated that thousands of Mossad agents have been operating out of Northern Iraq for some time. Their speciality? Car bombs and beheadings.

Let us all pray for Margaret Hassan as its looking more likely she may end up another victim, like Berg, Bigley and the tens of thousands of faceless Iraqis, in Blair/Bush/Sharons crusade for world domination.

Israeli agents in Iraq

Here's that Seymour Hersh article with the evidence, in the ANTISEMITIC yes antisemitic New Yorker magazine:
 http://www.newyorker.com/fact/content/?040628fa_fact

And Haaretz, that ANTISEMITIC yes antisemitic mainstream Israeli daily also picked up the story:

Report: Israel operating hundreds of agents in northern Iraq
By Nathan Guttman, Haaretz Correspondent

WASHINGTON - Israel operates hundreds of agents in the Kurdish areas in northern Iraq, according to a report published in the upcoming issue of The New Yorker magazine.
In an interview to CNN on Sunday, reporter Seymour Hersh said that hundreds of Israelis, some of them Mossad agents, are operating in the region in order to collect information on Iran's nuclear program and monitor events in Syria.

According to the report, Israel in the past has had many ties with the Kurds, which with the fall of Saddam Hussein's regime are currently being renewed.

Israel is not confident of the success of the American program for the stabilization of the country, the report says, and that is why it is interested in setting up independent connections in the region.

Israelis operating in the region are also attempting to assist Kurds living in Syria, the report says.
---end quote---

However that article's recently been pulled from Haaretz's website, as has all mention of Seymour Hersh for some strange reason. It's still in the Google cache as I write this though:

propaganda campaign

26.10.2004 08:58

there are many agents from all over the world in iraq. that is no proof that the israelis had anything to do with that. it isn't even a clue. by the way, I tend to doubt stories about what the israelis are doing. these things are often misrapresented or totally invented by people whose mission in life is to convince western public opinion that the road to world peace lies in dismantelling the state of israel, for this is the final goal of this incessant propaganda campaign.

False flag

26.10.2004 10:06

Amongst other reasons, this false-flag operation was, in my humble opinion,
designed to try to reduce support for the resistance by the Iraqi people
which is currently running at around 60%.

careful

26.10.2004 13:58

appreciate the info and the opinion piece. however, there is no 'proof positive' here, nor is anything conclusive. Saying that because Y stood to profit, they must have carried out action X is simply shit logic, trotted out in any number of conspiracy theories. If you've had any training in logical thought you can see that there are far too many counter-examples, and that the syllogism is not valid. There are any number of examples of cases where it is known that X was not carried out by Y, even though they stood to profit, and equally there are instances of Y carrying out X even when it was not in their interests. Lets speculate, but do some first-year philosophy before making assertions that are simple fallacious. There are numerous basic textbooks on logic that you could have a look at. Sorry if this all seems patronising, but bad logic simply makes us look stupid.

old enemies

26.10.2004 15:53

Israel and Iraq have a long standing hostility towards each other. During most of the wars between Israel and its neighbours Iraq sided with Israels neighbours. During the first Gulf War Iraq repeatively fired scud missles into the heartland of Israel. Mainly to provoke Israel into attacking but also because Israel harboured American bases. In the eyes of the (Arab/muslim) world, right or wrong, Israel is considered the right hand of the American war/oppression machine.

Iraq's hatred for Israel runs deep. Both see the other as a threat. Israel is/was afraid of Iraq, since it was the only remaining country in the middle east with a significant economy/wealth/military power and a desire to obilterate Israel. In 1981 Israel launch and unproved attack on Iraq, destroying a nuclear reactor. Clearly this reactor (like Israel's! c.f. Vanunu) is not solely for the use of electricity generation.

The destruction of Iraq serves the security intrests of Israel more than any other country on earth (the US included)
