NCPM tries to bar public access
Arnold Toper | 04.03.2005 10:56 | Sheffield
There was a stand-off with the bouncers not allowing in the two would-be bar-goers.
A passing policeman was then called over to adjudicate and the NCPM were forced to *back down* and let the public in as it is a condition of the remit of the NCPM/Union building that it is openly accessible to Sheffield citizens and visitors.
Hurrah - a victory for justice and common sense!
Assert your consumer rights - drink cheaply in the Union bar!

Go Mr. Policeman, hey? And it's really good to know that we can all go in now.
If it was me, I would have just gone, 'oh, well, yes, sorry, I'll just go then, shall I?'
Good work!
