incredible!

People like you still refer to the above Filth traitors as 'Pigs'?!??

Pigs are one of the most brutally oppressed factory farmed animals that end up on your plate after a life of sheer misery, confinement and appauling suffering.

I can't believe that you can liken these sentient beings to these SHITS above.

Get real poster, these people in your photo's are 'Filth' not Pigs.

thanks darcy

thanks darcy for the comment - you may have a point, but it's weakened by the phrase "people like you" - whenever i hear that i kinda switch off. haha

The filth?

20.03.2005 10:28

As I recall, 'the filth' was how uniformed officers in the Metropolitan Police referred to the CID. The CID called the uniformed officers 'woodentops' on account of the traditional helmet (which is now made of fibre glass).

Spooks?

20.03.2005 11:48

What's the evidence for saying that the plain-clothes people shown here are spooks? They look like ordinary passers-by watching the march.

and of course

20.03.2005 12:05

... and of course these will be the same "pigs" or "filth" you will be so quick to phone when something happens to you or yours.

Your hypocricy is laughable

re Hypocrisy

20.03.2005 13:25

Yep, there's contradictions in most aspects of life.

Many people would call the police when they are in trouble. But the fact remains that there are also many of the same people who are unhappy at the political nature of some of the policing tactics - and lets be clear, there's a difference between 'facilitating protest', 'intelligence gathering' and 'detering protest' - all of which often occur at the same time.

Indeed many officers are also aware of the contradictions, and while they wouldn't admit it in public, some are often unhappy at things they're asked to do. If anyone's ever been seriously involved in campaigns that have had sympathy from some police officers then they know that - many people of course don't know this.

There's also quite a different culture between different forces which has been seen playing out during large scale policing operations over the last decades. Nothing is ever simple!

What you actually want the police to do something the don't do owt

20.03.2005 15:43

For example, if you have been mugged for you mobile phone or wallet, 95% of the time they can't do anything useful (like catch the fuckwit responsible and/or getting your stuff back), the only point in reporting crimes like that is to get the crime reference number for insurance puposes (while people may not have anyway for various reasons).

Also, where oh where are they when pensioners are being terrorised by gangs of yobs on the estate? If they are underfunded why can they turn up in force to give protesters misery? It's the agenda of the State innit... ;)

You can't accuse them of being covert

20.03.2005 17:04

Well you can't accuse them of trying to discretely blend into the crowd with their smart bright yellow hi-viz jackets. Even the top brass observing from above was wearing one.

If everyone turned up in ironed white shirt, black tie and yellow hi-viz jacket you could really confuse them.

about the spooks

20.03.2005 18:56

overheard conversations and who they were chatting too was the clear indication these folk were not ordinary bystanders, although to be clear, the woman, and the guy in red t-shirt with shades are not implicated - otherwise, story stands.

Spooks spotted

20.03.2005 21:53

Rikki - Thanks for the clarification. It would be interesting to know if those characters can be identified from photographs of other events. And we'll have to keep an eye out for them in future. I've noticed that the police sometimes have books of photographs to help them spot us. Perhaps we should be producing our own spook-spotting guides (in leaflet form?).

As regards uniformed snoops on Saturday, see also this thread:

Spook spotting guide?

21.03.2005 11:33

Careful - that might be to collect information likely to be of use to terrorists - contrary to the Terrorism Act 2000. And if photography causes the alleged spooks alarm or distress on more than one occasion there is always the Protection from Harrassment Act.
