(A) | 22.03.2005 21:55 | G8 2005
Date: Sunday 3rd April
Venue: RISC, 35-39 London Street, Reading, Berks.
This is an anti-authoritarian initiative and the assembly and co-ordination is being done without the need of formalised "steering committees" or by voting. These assemblies are used to co-ordinate activities across the South East of England, to announce initiatives and to discuss the political basis of what we are doing.
At the last gathering, held in February, there were 23 groups plus individuals from across the Southeast.
This assembly is being hosted by RAGE (Reading Anti-G8). We hope people will contribute to the agenda for the day. Please send suggestions for the agenda to email@example.com by 26th March, so we can then send out a draft agenda for amendment before the Assembly.
Please can working groups let us know how much time they would like for feedback, also anyone else who would like to either feedback on events so far (e.g. Tuebingen, G7 ministerial’s etc) or announce upcoming events, please could you let us know so we can try and fit everyone in.
So far it is suggested that we start with a short session for introductions and housekeeping, then have feedback from working groups (and others) followed by discussion of these issues and lastly discussion of upcoming events/actions for mobilisation. There will also be a break of 15mins.
RAGE is able to offer accommodation for up to 12 people on a first come-first served basis, so if you would like accommodation please let us know asap. Its only floor space though, so please bring a sleeping bag!
Lastly, if people could donate a small amount to help cover the cost of the room (£30) it would be very much appreciated.
