The American Demise

TR Clansmith | 04.06.2005 10:00 | Analysis | Anti-militarism | Repression

As the war drums of the Bush Administration drone into background noise, a growing number across the globe turn their eyes to the USA itself. The view becomes a prelude to the upcoming horror feature of this planets history - the Day America Turns on Herself!

The Heartland of Liberty is being shaken to its very core by the growing disquiet in its People, and as the onlookers stand appalled, the very foundations of this planets concept of Liberty are eroded and turned to shifting sands of displaced freedom.

As a planet, The People heard the lies told to cause War. As a Planet, The People heard the changing tales as justification to cause War. As a Planet, we stand helpless and watch the internal and deliberate destruction of the single heartplace of Liberty for all men, America.

It is not only deliberate, it has been carefully planned. Each side of politics has played or been played into positions of impotent compromise by a very small few. The devious division of a diverse enemy is the first rule of conquest. The American People stand divided in both politics and heart.

Too many believe that the United States Military can defend them. Nothing can or will defend America if indeed she turns upon herself once more in confusion. Nothing will prevent the downfall of what should remain a beacon of freedom into tomorrow for all freedom loving nations. It is what America came of age upon - the pursuit of Liberty. It is what she must be remembered for, not as the destroyers of such a notion.

When the President himself proclaims that he does not worry unduly about affairs outside his own family, how might the people draw strength from such selfishness?

When the Administration would smile while beating a new tune on the WarDrum, and the media turn the Peoples attention towards a newer, more unknown threat - Iran, most would think that America has an unlimited supply of new blood to spill in some intriguing global power play on the whim of moron, sired by a puppeteer.

But the truth is far different, America is laid bare to attack despite billions spent on 'protecting' the people.

"The threat of nuclear terrorism is closing in upon us. Chemical terrorism is at hand, and biological terrorism is a future danger. None of our thousands of nuclear weapons can protect us from these threats. No 'Star Wars' system... no matter how technically advanced, no matter how many trillions of dollars was poured into it... can protect us from even a single terrorist bomb. Not one weapon in our vast arsenal can shield us from a nuclear weapon delivered in a sailboat or a Piper Cub or a suitcase or a Ryder rental truck. Not a penny of the 273 billion dollars a year we spend on so-called defense can actually defend us against a terrorist bomb.

Nothing in our enormous military establishment can actually give us one whit of security. That is a military fact." Source

The Truth is different, despite the rose colored glasses and flag draped coffins. Despite Americans dying for someone elses goals - not for any purpose, nor American Ideal. Instead, the blood of America is spilled for false causes, in the name of a man that admits he worries little about anything but his own family.

The Truth is that America stands almost defenseless, failing to meet the recruitment numbers for any of the Military. The Truth is that the Bush Administration is creating a new welfare dependant army, one borne from desperation, uncertainty and bitter disappointment. A certain recipe for social disaster if ever one was deliberately created.

The Truth is that the Bush Administration is so desperate for leaders they will recall a retired veteran to active service years after he left and offer him the option of spending the 'war in jail' or go to war in Iraq.

This same soldier will go to war to train men who have placed their lives on the line to follow a false goal. This man will be emotionally and mentally coerced to believe in his duty before his principles, to place 'his men' before his own earned honor. This man can be sent home to a broken career, a destroyed family or not come home at all.

That a single American could be forced to War in the name of a cause he not only does not believe in but in the service of a leader he holds no respect for is not a sign of a Free Country. It is a sign of a country under internal seige.

That a single American could be forced to comply under threat of detention without rights is so alien to the global perspection of America, Heartland of Liberty as to draw skepticism from the globally community. No person would think that an American would tolerate such invasive and devious undermining of the gloried rights of America! It is simply unthinkable that Americans would allow such a travesty to occur, unchallenged or indeed with thier willing participation.

The division of the People of America is almost complete. Those not split by politics or religion are alienated by the horrific and seemingly endless combination of both in the same sentence. The final division will come with the first sincere 'assault' against the real People of America, in their homes, in their shopping centres, in their faces - perpetually, endlessly and with the same remorse shown to thier antagonists.

At that time, America is lost to all - it will be destroyed, it will fall beyond repair. The loss to this planet will be told throughout history as a lesson to the next generations, each who will vow that this atrocity shall never happen again, each convinced they know the wrong ways now and will follow only the right ways - and again, man will rebuild his entire world.

The People of the world who bear a conscience look sadly on the United States of America and mourn the loss of her Liberty, and thus - her internal power and unity. Such a shame when it was lost to nothing but greed and placency.

If you will not speak now as the champion of Liberty, who will? If no one steps aside fear and speaks, who will be first to lament the same loss? If no one will take notice and care and take action, then who deserves to know Freedom?

"I searched for words to convey what I felt and I told him, "I don't mean to offend you, but I can't in good conscience do that." Source
