If the brit government really took the terrorists threats seriously..

hacked off in hackney | 08.07.2005 22:44 | Terror War

If the brit government really believed and took al-ciaeda threats seriously.

Knowing the fact that they were dealing with rich ruthless disassociated cold blooded killers (trained by our own ruthless dissociated psychopaths at CIA black ops in Afghanistan in the 1980's, programmed and trained to kill and maim Russian soldiers mercilessly).

The security services should have put in place, body frisking and bag searching check points at the entrance of London tubes and on entering buses a long time ago.

Al-ciaeda are not like republicans and other guerilla groups who ALWAYS phone in prior warnings of bombs, and give the authorities time to evacuate buildings etc.

Why are the british government so complacent and so matter of fact about mass civillian casualities and fatalities?

If no warning bombs were going off in Belfast, body frisking and bag searching would still be in place at security barriers at city centre entrances and at the entrances of shops.

It's time they introduced routine body frisking and bag searching in London, it doesn't cost much money and there's no need to use expensive equipment, it also doesn't infringe on civil liberties or human rights. We had body frisking and bag searching in Belfast for 20 years, which was carried out by private security firms, there was very little aggro.

Given the so called intelligence about the nature and danger of al-ciaeda terrorists, why were the majority of the Met/MI5/MI6 pulled out of London, and relocated to Gleneagles to protect 8 rich people, leaving 3 million ordinary people in London unprotected.

Afterall whats 700 injured londoners and upwards of 50 ordinary people dead, compared to the safety of 8 of the richest people on the planet.

Are Londoners expected to swallow Tony's comforting words hook, line and sinker, and just sit back and hope for the best?

Is relying on just hoping to not to get caught up in a no warning bomb on the ungerground/buses, effective security and protection?

The brit government doesn't have to spend millions on intricate, complex intelligence survailence etc, all it has to do is put in place body frisking and bag searches at entrances to the tubes.

Is it mass stupidity for Londoners to settle for Tony's stiff upper lip bollocks and his 'we won't change our way of life' or in other words, we don't want to spend any more money on simple basic security measures.

The british government can spend millions of tax payers money on war in Iraq, yet it won't implement basic, simple security measures for its own people.
