I suspect that Indymedia are playing their usual 'tin foil hat' card and as usual don't want to be seen as being too far from mummy's apron strings. I don't think that you can be so stupid as to fail to make the connection between 9/11 and everythying that has happened since being justified by 9/11. If you carry on like this, you might as well save your energy as far as campaigning against I.D. cards because until you recognise that the issue is being driven towards that end and that all public opposition will disintegrate as 'Islamic' terrorism is used to seize a terrified concensus.
No doubt a number of the 1000+ MI5 agents who were recruited over the past year or so and have since dissolved into society will be standing by with something they had cooked up for them earlier to discredit anything which contradicts the official story.

That was a rhetorical question, because I haven't heard a single politician use 7/7 to promote I.D. cards. In fact the only comments I have heard were the admission that they would've been useless as a prevention for 7/7. I haven't seen any evidence to suggest public opnion is turning. All I have heard is the ballooning of Gordon Brown thinking of scrapping the idea. Hell, the bill hardly passed first reading with a convincing majority.
