Jean Charles was wearing a denim jacket, not a bulky winter coat!!!

Leaked Secret Documents Confirm Police Lied About De Menezes

"The documents and photographs confirm that Jean Charles was not carrying any bags, and was wearing a denim jacket, not a bulky winter coat, as had previously been claimed.

He was behaving normally, and did not vault the barriers, even stopping to pick up a free newspaper."

Who lies ?

17.08.2005 12:04

So what about Mark Whitby ? The man who claimed on the BBC that the man who was allegedly shot 5 times in front of him after he had been pushed and held on the floor was looking like a Pakistani, had a baseball cap and a thick paded coat.

I begin to believe there has been two murders, not just one.

It would be intersting to interview this Mark Whitby again I think. On the BBC or something.

So the Met are racist, murdering liars...

hmmm

Can anyone point to a direct quote from the police regaring the jacket, the barrier jumping and the running outside the station?

All I can find are indirect quotes and comments attributed to correspondents.

get cracking then

Well, if you want to find the elusive Mr Whitby, the Telegraph reported him as a "water installation engineer from Brixton" the day after the shooting. Not sure how many of them there are around. Oh and why not try the phonebook at Brixton library eh? Not that i approve of harassing the guy, but his testimony was awfully unlike the story being told by the member of the surveilance team.

"Magoo", those correspondents received their stories directly from the police, and from people within the Bliar Government. The earliest reports I saw also said that he had "wires protruding from a heavy jacket".

If the police/Government are going to take such a lie that far, how much of their unoroven Conspiracy Theories about either bombings can we believe? I think it's time they produced the video evidence to support their version of events.

Lies Surround Gov'ts 7/7 Theories Too

Mr Whitby today refused to comment on the leak

17.08.2005 19:42

"Initial accounts suggested that Mr de Menezes had fled from armed officers by vaulting over barriers before stumbling on to an underground train, where the officers opened fire. One witness in the carriage, Mark Whitby, 47, whose account formed an important part of the subsequent reports, said he had seen a man who looked Pakistani "hotly pursued by what I knew to be three plain-clothes police officers".

He described the man wearing "a coat like you would wear in winter, a sort of padded jacket" and looking as petrified as "a cornered rabbit" when he got on the train. Mr Whitby today refused to comment on the leak."

You get the impression that Whitby is a bit of a bullshitter?

Well, we'll see when the inquiry has all the testimonies stacked up.

No I think his testimony rings the truth. I have listened to it several times. It is on my hard disk.

I think that possibly at least two men have been shot not just one as the two accounts are irreconciliable.

Does someone know where and for who Jean De Menezes was working as an electrician ?

I'm more inclined to believe that Mr Whitby just enjoyed being the focus of attention... there are other possibilities but there is little to substantiate them at this point.

Not wishing to get into loony PsyOps territory, but it may be worth reading this:

 http://www.museum.tv/archives/etv/D/htmlD/deathonthe/deathonthe.htm

I'm waiting till we get the full IPCC report before jumping to conclusions, but this could very well be a state ordered execution gone wrong.

The leak on the report may very well have been to stop the government from whitewashing the final report... but I'm speculating wildly here.

Wait and see!

"Can anyone point to a direct quote from the police regaring the jacket, the barrier jumping and the running outside the station? All I can find are indirect quotes and comments attributed to correspondents."

Perhaps there is no direct quote stating the above about jackets and barrier jumping etc. But there were reports about jackets and barrier jumping and the police certainly played along with those fictions for as long as they could...
