Before you even ask, NO I don't support any usage of such by the likes of Bush & Bliar to try to make any case for militarily attacking Iran.

Know who else hates "gays"? Bush and his Neo-Fascists.

Leftist Homophobia

17.11.2005 06:35

You know, in an article in the Communist Party of Great Britain newspaper 'Weekly Worker', it was recently asked "are we seeing a resurgence of old fashioned leftist homophobia?". I would question whether it even went away in the first place. Nearly forty years after the feminist and gay movements emerged from the then US left, it would seem that some activists still operate their little hierarchies of oppression, in which addressing the murder and brutalisation of women and gay people are forever deferred. Interesting, but rather depressing. That is why, love them or loathe them, separate activist groups addressing womens concerns or gay human rights are for the moment still necessary.

But...

Bush doesn't execute them though.

This left wing love affair with extremist Islam must stop.

Sodomy is an abominable sin, worthy of death!

17.11.2005 14:28

"If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them." Leviticus 20:13. "Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them." Romans 1:32.

O MY GOD SHUT UP

17.11.2005 15:07

None of us true lefties support any religion let alone the extreme version of them. We dont support the catholics who tell people with aids (mainly in africa in those stupid catholic hospitals they set up there) not to use condoms during sex even if their partner doesnt have aids, twe dont support any abuses of human rights be that from an islamic state killing gays to a christian state like the US using religion to gain support for war (like bush did during Iraq with the religious right. Religion kills we should condemn Iran for this just like the other countries who have used religion for other crimes US/UK for example. (yes Blair did go to church to 'pray' for the british troops in the Iraq war and yes they allowed him to. Churches alover keep their mouth shut about real issues and blind people from seeing the truth.

on that note why do u always mention Iran and Islam in articles and never the crimes commited by christians?? what u trying to push forward??

FUCK RELIGION

Social movements are not working class issues

19.11.2005 07:51

Dear Caz, as far as I am aware there was a gay rights movement in Germany in the 1920's and 1930's which was crushed and suppressed after Hitler came to power. I would venture that there were other gay movements in other countries possibly even before this. I know that feminists and gays love to worship America as the source of all their great ideals, however I beg to differ.

What's more is that by gays and feminists (Muslims, ethnic minorities, pacifists, nudists, sandal wearers, Quakers, fruit juice drinkers, et al) attaching yourselves to the socialist and workers movements you inevitably make it look like a freak show and no self-respecting worker would be seen dead within a mile of you.

You may not have noticed the wholesale collapse of the left in Britain, and many other places, over the last 20 years, but I guarantee you that these movements are a big part of it. It must be that the workers don't understand the dialectic, eh Caz. If you want to have a group for gays, women, kite flyers, etc then feel free to do so, but please don't inflict yourselves onto the socialist movement, it's got enough problems as it is.

George Orwell noted disapprovingly of the habit of cranks to attach themselves to the socialist and communist movements in 'The road to Wigan pier'. I guess it's possible to be too liberal-minded for your own good!

Still

Every1 is equal no matter what the hell they believe in or prefer and all that shit but yes as far as serious issues go a proper socialist/communist movement should not have gay rights as a priority just like it shouldnt have married couples rights or anything like that. Its about the system and exploitation and how the working class should fight for a better world. After those serious problems are solved can we then implement true equality in all aspects of life.
