Who are the puppet masters?

Digery Cohen. | 19.11.2005 09:31

Some say it is Cheney and Rumsfeld.

Dance the Dance
Dance the Dance

Who ever it is the game is over.

We will be out of iraq next year and the Mullahs of Iran can take over openly.

Well done Cheney and Rumsfeld.

Is Israel any safer?

So what was the point?

Cheaper oil?

We didn't get that.

Or was it to make some few extra $$$s for Haliburton and the like?

We can't allow our country to be run like this.

Saddam's refusal to co-operate with UN inspectors was the reason for war!

Quote : "So what was the point? Cheaper oil? We didn't get that. Or was it to make some few extra $$$s for Haliburton and the like?"

No idiots it was because for 12 years Saddam Hussein and his regime continually obstructed and failed to comply with United Nations weapons inspectors and eventually kicked them out of Iraq, in breach of the 1991 Gulf War ceasefire conditions! Because of this no one knew what weapons Iraq still had, so only by overthrowing Saddam could a thorough search for weapons of mass destruction happen. So the blame for the war lies squarely with Saddam Hussein for refusing to co-operate with the UN and thus creating the illusion he still had weapons of mass destruction!

Real lies

Hey 'Realist' you're spouting straight-up establishment bullbob...

"Saddam Hussein and his regime continually obstructed and failed to comply with United Nations weapons inspectors and eventually kicked them out of Iraq"

This old chestnut was roasted back in October 2002...

Do Blair's goons ever give up with their easily disproven lies.

19.11.2005 19:19

"realist"- a very tenth-rate NEW REICH goon. For all of you, do ten seconds of research, and you will discover that Iraq NEVER kicked so-called weapons-inspectors out, they were actually withdrawn at the command of Bush and Blair to enable massive bombing campaigns.

However, it gets better. Before Blair, and "realist" and the rest of the genocidal goons could invade Iraq, various charades were played out. One of the most notable happened when Blair and Bush stated that Iraq had to agree to allow ANY named Iraq citizen to be taken to torture facilities run by the US/UK/Israel, to be "interrogated" by forces solely chosen by Bush/Blair, with NO other persons present. The "failure" to allow this was used as the excuse by Blair to launch his attacks.

Zip forward to today. The UN refused to officially inspect Blair's/Bush's torture facility at Guantanamo bay because the US would not allow UN Human Rights officials to have private interviews with the torture camp hostages. An honest person applies his standards to himself BEFORE he applies them to others. A dishonest person obeys no standards, but merely abuses his powers to hurt others.

The saddest part of the whole Iraq story is that the sanctions were illegally maintained, because the UK and Israel created an endless stream of lies and propaganda to counter the fact that Iraq had FULLY complied with every demand in full a few years after the so-called gulf war. The sanctions were designed to exterminate a generation of Iraqis for the direct benefit of Israel, a fact that no-one in power denies.

Today, Iraq is being turned into a military state unlike any EVER seen in the Arab world. The only good job for a normal Iraqi is becoming a soldier. How amusing, Iraq was attacked "because" of its war-like nature, by people whose sole goal was to use the riches of Iraq to turn the country into the ultimate war-like arab nation, and one in the control of the supporters of the Mullahs of Iran, no less. Tell me, who here is stupid enough to take THAT situation at face value???

When something doesn't seem to make sense, it is because you are lacking some of the facts. If any of you think that Blair intends for the Iraq solution to be a permanent strengthening of Iran's power by giving Iran de-facto control of Iraq (as is the case now) you are fools. This is nothing but a passing intermediate stage, preparing for the time when the SECOND Iran-Iraq war will be part of Blair's greater war against Iran.

WMD

19.11.2005 21:40

On the point of reasons for war, Putin has publicly said that he and the Russian gov believed Iraq might have WMD, and that Bush etc did not lie or intentionally mislead or anything like that. He has said that all the international community including Russia agreed on the problem of suspected Iraqi WMD and the need to prevent them, Russia just thought that the UN process, forcing weapons inspections etc, was the best path, and was working, and war was unnecessary.

And what about the hundreds of thousands of people Saddam killed?

20.11.2005 12:23

Saddam Hussein did in fact continually obstruct United Nations weapons inspectors! That is noted for a fact. That was why their job was still unfinished when George Bush tried to negotiate for their return to Iraq in 2002! In 2002 there were still vast quantaties of chemical and biological weapons still unacounted for in Iraq. And yes Saddam Hussein did kick out UN weapons inspectors in December 1998 after accusing them of spying! That is a well docummented fact!

Another thing though which justified the war on Iraq was Saddam Hussein's appalling human rights record. Remember the mass graves which contained 300,000 people? Remember the torture chambers that allied troops uncovered in Iraq? Remember the terror Saddam brought to the Kurds, Shias and Marsh Arabs.

Was your attitude this : - "Because Saddam only kills his own people its none of our business". So how would you have freed the Iraqi people from tyranny? The only way to free the Iraqi people was by war unfortunatly.

Did you ask the Iraqi people if they wanted your freedom?

20.11.2005 14:09

Hmmm but that doesnt matter does it. Real democracy is what you say it is. You should look at reality coz the Iraqi people have repeatedly demonstrated in every protest, every poll and every other way they can that they dont want occupiers in their country and didnt want your stupid 'war of freedom'

We are not paid, we do it for love.

"Because they are Joo-Boys, probably being paid by the Mossad."

Once again the Indymedia regulars are openly attacking Jews.

Surprise surprise, I would now sadly expect to find fewer anti jewish postings and less unfounded conspiracy theories on a far right site.

Yo dickhead

20.11.2005 20:10

Did you ask the Iraqi people if they wanted your 'liberation'? No for the simple reason that both britain and the US knew the war would not be supported by them. One thing these people hate more than the dictator thay had is a foreign occupying force. They want you out and they want you out now.

PS Saddam was an ally of other evil governments such as the British and American one throughout the 80's. You sold him weapons and endorsed the war on Iran. So go learn about freedom before you try to teach others about it

realy realy real

...

21.11.2005 13:14

Hey 'realist', what about the millions of people the US have killed, with their wars and interventions in Vietnam, Cambodia, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Chile, supporting Saddam against Iran, Somalia, Afghanistan, supporting and supplying arms to the coup in Haiti, supporting the terrorising and occupying armies of Israel and Indonesia. What about the people being tortured by the US in Iraq, Afganistan, Uzbekistan, Romania, Poland? The only differences between the US and Saddam are that 1) The US has killed more people 2) The US possesses the most nuclear weapons, so noone dares stand up to it, and 3) The US doesn't terrorise it's own indigenous population because it already exterminated most of them 100 years ago, and shoved the rest into reservations. Saddam never carried out a colonisation and genocide of Kurdistan anywhere near as complete as the American colonists carried out in North America.

I'm sure Saddam thinks he is the good-guy just as much as you think Cheney is, but both are murdering, torturing, lying bastards, playing games with the lives of innocent people.

J&P you are the broken record.

22.11.2005 18:20

Well, it certainly wasn't about WMD, that's for sure.

So go on - tell me what was it?

Oh, and yeah, freedom, right, that's a funny one.

It's just pure greed and securing the oil, but it's turning into turmoil instead.
