Humane control of the pet population is what is needed. There are so many homeless pets in the United States that they cannot find enough homes for them. American society is so irresponsible. They also don't have laws against animal cruelty in some states, and many states give animals minimal protection.

Feral cats have the same in body as domestic cats, but they have wilder instincts because they have less human contact.

The way to humanely help feral cats is to humanely trap, neuter and return these cats. The veterinary who humanely helps them with TNR, clips their ears so they know which feral cats will not reproduce kittens

Animal euthanisation in America shows how materialistic American culture is and how American society treats life. There are some Americans trying to stop animal cruelty who spend their lives rescuing these pets who are abused and try to stop them being killed.

Animal shelters in the USA usually kill dogs and cats with gas which takes 10 minutes to painfully choke them to death. This labrador is in an animal control shelter now. Animals in American animal control shelters have 3-7 days to be adopted before they are euthanized, so if it's a weekday they're more likely to be euthanized and many shelters don't open at the weekend.

The labrador in the picture is in animal control this week. Dogs and cats like her are killed every day.
