Isn't it ironic.

It is quite possible that your own MP voted in favour of this draconian law, which threatens our civil liberties and human rights, just so that they can conduct their daily charade in Parliament without hearing megaphones or loudspeakers and without having their limousines impeded by outraged citizens.
To find out how your MP, aka 'representative', voted see:
Doug.
Who is organising this???

Look pal, we know you're a Sun journalist (or similar). Why do you bother to come here? Nobody's opinion is going to change after reading any of your comments.

some people are prepared to get arrested for things they believe are important. Anyway doesn't seem very likely, 6000 arrests? Imagine the paperwork!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (You like exclamation marks don't you?)

it's only a matter of time before it's repealed.

Let me explain something "Free Speech"
29.12.2005 23:38
This is ABOUT free speech. Assuming this mass demo comes off, the people showing up for the protest might have nothing in common with the objectives/causes of the demonstrators who have been being arrested. They would be coming out in defense of ANYBODY to protest, in defense of free speech itself. In defense of the UNWRITTEN British Constitution >
And as for telling them they would be arrested --- well now, if only 60 show up, probably yes. And if only 600 show up, quite possibly. But I think if its 6000 then arresting them all would be an interesting challenge >

on the other hand, once we're all there on the day, i suppose it would be churlish not to poke our toes in the exclusive waters, haha, and see if the police CAN arrest 6000 of us.
it's a lovely idea - spread it far and wide and let's see if we can really make it happen.
perhaps we can even get the daily mail (and thus the evening standard) on our side? they did a whole front page on maya evan's arrest. perhaps we could all write to them and ask them to support the pledge? they thought they were using maya to get at blair, but inadvertently they were unusually helping a lot of right-thinking people. perhaps then we can use them to get at this law? just a thought.
read it properly before making stoopid comments
and in reality

Thats it I'm done. I've registered, and I'll be there. So thats 5% of your predicted turnout. 10% if you assume Richard the guy who created the pledge will be there.
Come on Free Speech sign up and come along. You may find actually believing in something may change your life forever.
