Shaykh al-Baghdadi told the Iraqi National News Agency “these raids were carried out on the basis of instigation from ‘Abd al-‘Aziz al-Hakim. This is something everyone on the street in an-Najaf knows. It was because of our patriotic stand, in opposition to the occupation, to submission and our non-acceptance of the political system” that the occupation is trying to impose on the country.
