Colin Powell is coming to the Manchester Hilton to attend a Jewish National Fund (JNF) Fundraising Gala Dinner on Tuesday 17th January.

JNF UK has Colin Powell as their special guest at their fundraising dinners in January 2006. As well as the Manchester event he will be at the London Park Lane Hotel on Sunday Jan 15th and the Glasgow Hilton on Monday Jan 16th from 5.00pm onwards.
There are plenty of reasons to object to Powell’s presence in the city, but what about the Jewish National Front - ehm - Fund?
The Jewish National Fund (JNF) is one of the principle components of Israel's discriminatory system of land administration. The JNF was founded in 1901 to further the political project of establishing a Jewish state in Palestine. It’s constitution requires the JNF to benefit Jews exclusively. It therefore promotes and implements policies that discriminate against the Palestinian population of Israel.
The JNF is a quasi-official organization of the Israeli state that exists to raise funds for the acquisition and development of land for Jewish settlement. As such, it provides one of the main mechanisms through which Israel's system of ethnic cleansing and discrimination is enforced. Indeed, around 2/3 of JNF land was actually stolen from Palestinian refugees. The JNF owns around 14% of the land in Israel, and is prohibited by its constitution from selling or leasing this land to Arabs. Through its 50% representation on the council of the Israel Lands Administration (ILA), the JNF has a substantial influence over more than 90% of the land in Israel.
Since 1967, the JNF has been active through its subsidiary Hemnutah Ltd. in purchasing land in the occupied Palestinian territories for Jewish settlement. Such settlement violates numerous United Nations resolutions and the provisions of the Fourth Geneva Convention relating to the protection of civilian societies under occupation. Settlement construction in the occupied territories represents a major obstacle to the peaceful resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
The JNF states publicly that no Arabs may live on, or buy back any land in Israel once the JNF has purchased it. The JNF is a major enforcer of apartheid inside Israel. "Today, the JNF tractor follows in the wake of the Army tank. Areas which have been annexed to Israel as a result of the Six Day War are being put under the plough. The preparation of this land is the primary task of the JNF."
While he was Secretary of State, Colin Powell instructed US Embassies in the Middle East to stop using the phrase "Occupied Territories" and to use only the militant Zionist phrase "Disputed Territories". According to Powell and Sharon, 78% of historic Palestine is undisputed Zionist territory. Implicit in Powell’s refusal to use the phrase "Occupied Territories" is a commitment to the total violation of any minimum Palestinian human or national rights in the 22% asked for by the Palestinian leadership.
Now Powell is fund-raising for the JNF.
The JNF is a militantly racist organisation which:
- refuses to allow Arabs to live on its land;
- develops illegal Jewish-only settlements in the territories conquered and occupied since 1967;
- controls land stolen from ethnically-cleansed Palestinians;
- opposes all attempts by human rights groups to challenge its policies;
- prohibits by open statute the sale of land to non-Jews.
The JNF UK:
- has funded large amounts of discriminatory land purchases in Israel;
- is funding a new Jewish-only settlement in an area proposed to form a part of a future Palestinian state;
- distributes pro-Israeli propaganda masquerading as educational material;
- features on its website a map of Israel stretching from the Mediterranean Sea to the Jordan River;
- gets financial support from every British taxpayer and has charity status in the UK.
The JNF Charitable Trust funds and supports the development of “British Park”, a forested recreational area in central Israel. This park is built on and around the remains of Palestinian villages, including Ajjur and Zakariya. According to the historian Walid Khalidi, the Palestinians who used to occupy this land were forcibly removed in 1948 and became refugees or internally-displaced persons. The removal of the Palestinians from their land constitutes a breach of human rights under International Law. The demolition of civilian homes; the denial of the right of the civilian inhabitants to the ownership of their properties and to return to the area where their homes once stood, and the arbitrary alteration of the usage of the properties represent gross violations of United Nations resolutions relevant to the question of Palestine and constitute war crimes under international law.

Today, the World faces death and destruction on an unprecedented scale because this tribal group, facing demographic disaster in the above mentioned lands, intends to Genocide its ethnic competition, mostly Muslims. The plan is simple- copy what Hitler did/attempted to do to the Slavs, but on a vastly greater scale.
The first part of this plan relies on the ability to grow so-called 'muslim extremism'. This is an old, old tactic, and relies on exposing as many Muslims as possible to the facts of the horrific injustices suffered daily by ordinary Muslims across much of the globe. This plan began in earnest with the Bosnia war, where tribal controlled Mass Media outlets in the UK regularly featured anti-Muslim propaganda attacking non-Bosnian Muslims who wished to travel to Bosnia to help defend their fellow Humans from Genocide. Please remember that at the time, Israel was the major ally of Serbia, and even provided the fragmention weapons used to butcher the civilians of cities like Sarajevo.
Consider this- a few months ago ITN, in a major news bulletin, ran a story attacking Iran for showing a fictional story about a Palestinian boy who bravely attacked the Israeli soldiers who had earlier butchered his peaceful relatives. ITN is, of course, owned and run by people who support every action of Israel, including as this report proved, the murder of totally innocent humans simply because they are Palestinians. ITN and BBC regularly CROW about Israeli 'revenge' attacks, regardless of how many people the Israelis slaughter. On the other hand, ITN and the BBC portray the Palestinians as 'inhuman', NEVER entitled to justice for the crimes committed against them.
You are RACIST by definition when you suggest that the ethnic backgroud of a human determines the level of justice, if any, they should receive for crimes carried out against them. How many Israelis are in Palestinian prisons for the atrocities they are responsible for? Try EXACTLY ZERO. How many Israelis have been tried at the Hague for the various Crimes Against Humanity carried out by Israel since its formation. Again, EXACTLY ZERO. Even when one considers the show trials within Israel, trumpeted by the BBC/ITN, that give at most a slap on the hand for some of the worst crimes seen by humanity (and even then rescinded when the World isn't looking), by this metric Israel comes out significantly MORE racist than even Nazi Germany. Indeed, Israel boasts that it will impose the death penalty on any persons in other countries that attempts to prosecute Israelis for any of these atrocities.
Colin Powell is the equivalent of the HOUSE SLAVES from the USA hundreds of years ago. They also were trotted out on a regular basis, to give voice to their Master's position, and to carefully explain how slavery was 'good' for 'black' humans. Often the 'house slave' was given 'token' responsibilities, and reassured that they represented 'progress' for 'their' people. At one time, Colin Powell was hilariously refered to as a presidential hopeful in the Mass Media of the West, a crude piece of control propaganda that the owners of these organs were amazed was accepted as true by large chunks of their audience.
Today, Powell is only know for his presentation of a complete pack of lies to the UN in order to justify the attack by Blair/Bush and the Iranians (Iran was the main ally in the attack on Afghanistan and Iraq) that has since murdered more than 300,000 iraqis. Powell is by no means a NeoCon. That organisation is as racist as any seen on this Earth, and uses people like Powell and Rice strictly as 'house slaves'. Thus, if you paid careful attention, you would have been suprised to see Powell express regret at the lies he told (no NeoCon would ever express human emotions like 'shame'). Today, Powell is a broken-down 'stumblebum' dancing for pennies. He is still useful in teaching 'black' americans to know their place, ie., serving and dying for Israel.
Why did Powell suffer no penalty for lying to the UN? Why did Blair suffer no penalty for spying on member nations of the UN for the sole purpose to coerce them to support the illegal murderous attack against Iraq. Why did Bush suffer no penalty for bribing those members of the UN that 'gave' support to his plan of attack. YOU LIVE IN A WORLD OF ANTI-JUSTICE. Black is white, up is down, wrong is right. The family of a terrorist Israeli killed in occupied Palestinian territory is awarded more compensation by Israeli supporting courts in the US than the sum total of all compensation given to families of all those people murdered by Blair in Iraq.
Remember that statue of 'justice' with the blindfold and the scales? It MATTERS that you know right from wrong, and it MATTERS that YOU are aware when you see justice eliminated as a concept, and are invited to pretend that it really doesn't matter. You see, Blair and his madmen are empowered by us. They cannot take power against us, but must persuade us to give power to them by our own free wills. They are allowed to make any argument they like, provided we truly know right from wrong, and deep down are aware of their true nature, methods, and purpose. In this sense, life really is democratic. Blair gains his ultimate victory with our passive consent. Blair suffers his final defeat by our active refusal to consent. If you have difficulty making up your mind, please look at the fate of the German and Japanese people in 1945 after a decade-plus of their passive consent to their 'Blairs'.

Powell has been a soldier for US imperialism & a believer in it all his life & we rightly need to protest at his presence at JNF a fascist organisation.
At the same time if I was able to get to protest I would also like to say well done for not supporting bush recently & coming out against the invasion saying intelligence was lies etc.
Maybe he is learning abit & standing up to his leader like that takes alot of strength, all the hardcore soldiers in iraq,globally would have listened to that & be questioning the reasons for war, more & more.
I would listen to someone more if I was congratulated for doing good in one part of my life, rather than just shouted at which is important too if I was supporting fascist scum like JNF
