Detainees respond to Mr McNulty

The following is taken from House of Commons written answers Monday 8th May 2006  http://www.publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm200506/cmhansrd/cm060508/text/60508w20.htm#60508w20.html_sbhd2
In addition to this, regarding the treatment of people with TB, I know of one case where the guards took the wrong detainee to the hospital and then the right detainee suffering with TB to the wrong hospital. TB is rife in detention centres. The guy just mentioned caught it from the other man in his room. This man is very ill, in a highly unstable state and his illness has been mismanaged to the point of neglience. TB is a time-critical illness. treatment is most effective when it is early and managed properly.

House of Commons answers on treatment of detainees with tb and those on hunger strike.

John McDonnell: To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what action his Department has taken to ensure the adequate treatment of detainees with tuberculosis in (a) Colnbrook and (b) Harmondsworth detention centres. [67759]

Mr. McNulty: Any detainee at Colnbrook and Harmondsworth diagnosed as having a confirmed case of tuberculosis will be referred to Hillingdon hospital chest clinic for management relating to drug treatment. The detainee would then be nursed in isolation in the centre's healthcare unit for a two week period. Once this period is over, the detainee would be returned to their normal location.
Regular follow up would be undertaken at Hillingdon hospital on their instructions. All removal centres liaise and work with their local health authorities who would provide any necessary advice and support in the event of a major health risk in a centre.

John McDonnell: To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many detainees have gone on hunger strike in (a) Colnbrook and (b) Harmondsworth detention centres since January 2005; how many are on hunger strike; and what action has been taken to address the grievances of those who are on hunger strike. [67760]

Mr. McNulty: After the evening meal on 3 May 2006, there were five
detainees recorded at Colnbrook as not having eaten the meals
provided for three days or more and one such detainee at
Harmondsworth.

John McDonnell: To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many times since January 2004 have external units been deployed in (a) Colnbrook and (b) Harmondsworth detention centres to deal with disturbances by detainees. [67761]

Mr. McNulty: Since January 2004, no external units have been deployed at Colnbrook to deal with disturbances by detainees. External units have been deployed on one occasion at Harmondsworth since January 2004. This was on 19 July 2004 when there was a serious disturbance at the centre.

Detainees respond:

Why must Mr.McNulty employ employ such deceptions to save his own neck, and explain away a dire situation of violent, unrests and
demonstrations at Colnbrook and harmandsworth.detention centers? why must a grown man,and elected representative of the people, deceive them to cover up the immoral acts of institutionalized human rights violations in his CONCENTRATION CAMPS, masquerading as detention centers. Countless detainees have been on hunger strike since Febuary 2006. between the 20-22nd of april,2006 all the wings in Harmandsworth were on hunger strikes. and the detainees who led the protests were rounded up and locked in solitary confinement. the Harmondsworth hunger strike followed in solidarity with an earlier 7-day hunger strike, undertaken by all the 80% of the detainees of Colnbrook (only those on medication, were exempt).

Why must people trusted with authority always prove so untrustworthy?

The conditions of moral, and human degradations in these
centers, makes it seem GEN. HEINRICH HIMLER,( of the third reich,) was mates with Charles Clark, and Tony McNulty.

We would like to sound a warning that a continuation of this
malevolent cover up, will only serve to embarrass the whole
government and people of the u.k when it eventually becomes public and world knowledge.

Well we guess, embarrassment is no longer new to the likes of Tony Blair, and Charles Clark, but Mr.McNulty should take heed, and salvage what is left of his career before its too late.

Yours sincerely,
Colnbrook Detainees.
